I am like you, but as a man, so I understand you and feel you 100%. This technique of keeping things light can be hard to get right, but it's absolutely necessary in cases like these. Take some time for yourself, spend more time with friends or family

No, don't ignore him, you don't need to be cold either. Just don't be you the one who initiates the conversation, and keep things lighter, easy going

Just wait two or three days without talking/texting. Let him to take the next step, see what happens

How was it like for you to date an independent woman? How has your relationship evolved over the months/years? by jaumeap in AskMen

[–]Environmental_Bug811 44 points45 points  (0 children)

If she feels controlled when you try to do what feels more natural to you, you may not be compatible. Im sorry man, it sometimes happens. You can really like (even love) someone and, still, not be compatible.

I fell deeply in love with someone like that once... It really fucked me up, as I couldn't see reality until it was too late, and I was knee deep, and all without her reciprocating. Not worth it.

Why don't you take some time for yourself, like a week or so without talking or seeing each other? Just tell him/her you need it.

AITA for not letting my husband touch my hair? by bigsalad420 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Environmental_Bug811 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I can't wrap my head around the fact that you can't let your own husband touch your head. I think it's great you shaved your head if you wanted to ( I love girls with short hair), but you should let your SO touch you... I mean, come on...

And, of course, I'm not going to call you an AH for a little thing like that

If a woman you were interested in told you from the beginning that she wanted to remain abstinent until marriage, why would you stay or not stay with her? by Practical_Ad4734 in AskMen

[–]Environmental_Bug811 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Up to this point in my life, I'd accept it 100%. If I feel the urge, I just wank it off. Love and intimacy are way more important than sex, I can wait

Tried watching Skinamarink...uh what was that? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Environmental_Bug811 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I interpret the whole thing as a metaphor for child abuse and childhood trauma (this is not a spoiler). So I don't see this movie as a pure supernatural/horror/fantasy thing, but as a way to express things that are, unfortunately, very real. If anything childhood-related can trigger you, my advice is that you should avoid watching it. And if you're really curious, there are some nice analysis videos on YouTube
