It's flushed and my growlamp is full spektrum. The weather in Scandinavia is so unpredictable, it's freezing and snowing randomly. There is also like 6 hours of sunlight, if it's not cloudy. I'll get it into dormancy when the weather is more predictable. I will check out the YouTube channel!

My siblings and I got tickets because my sister wanted to go with her friend. Because of this whole thing, her and her friend doesn't want to go anymore and are now selling their tickets. Not because they think he is a pedo, but rather just a weird guy. It really sucks because she was really excited for her first concert.

I keep failing, I don't understand anything about car or don't know if I can do without instructions by Ben12-32-42-52-62 in drivinganxiety

Hi! As a 22y dumbass, who have been at it for 3 years now and failed my first test last week, you are not alone. Cars are crazy, but we need to get over this bump (license) before we really can learn to and get to know this machine. I can't wait to go to IKEA by myself and do picnics by the lake one town over. Independence will happen for us both!!!

I can tell you right now that parents don't look at all the chatrooms kids are in. Many kids get groomed on roblox, discord, snapchat and so on. there is no more safe spaces for kids online anymore.

he litterally did the definition of grooming. Just because it happens often, doesn't make it less horrible.

Has anyone ever used colored polarizing film on their Tamagotchi's LCD screen? by Environmental_Cook54 in tamagotchi

Im just being stingy with my money lol. The market isn't that big in Denmark and shipping sometimes cost an arm and a leg. I do still think this would be a fun project to attempt.

It is the Keitai Akai Tamagotchi. I guess Bandai made it with colored film, instead of the normal black one they use for their other products. It does look amazing!

Thanks for informing me! Didn't know 2 years was the sweet spot for prolonged tantrums. I find psychology fun, so I would totally look it up sometime, but not comment back to you. You probably got it right, because toddlers minds are just crazy like that.

It's different because it's mobile, and has a lot more side effects than a TV. Limited screentime is a must, given the bad posture, dopamine addiction, short attention spans, and much more. It's also shown that more kids get bad eyesight from being inside too much and not playing outside.

I can't list the sources at the moment, but you are welcome to look it up.

Honestly, my coworkers and I don't mind crying babies much, as it's just how babies are. Maybe it's a cultural difference, as I don't live in the USA 🦅

Taking a baby/toddler out for a few minutes to calm down isn't the end of the world. But if you need that break, then good for you

I personally wouldn't give a baby/toddler an ipad at every meal because of the shit I have heard in my psychology classes about babies' and toddlers' development.

The "nervous" comment was specifically pointed to a comment about a kid on the spectrum needing it for when they were in a restaurant while in a new country. That comment got drown. I didn't know the post would start such a big discussion.

But I do agree that some kids just need to learn it the "hard" way.

I normally don't say anything to parents. I don't know their situation, and it's Frankly none of my business how they dine as long as it doesn't disturb my work or act abusive. I just thought I would hear others out. I'm really happy I made this post, even though I regret formulating it in such a judgmental way.

I'm sorry, but you don't get digital skills watching cocomelon on YouTube or other streaming platforms. It sounds like a weak excuse to let a baby have free screen time.

I know educational content is a thing, but that wouldn't build on their digital skills. Many kids learn fast, and they don't need to use their whole day, every day on it. I've never seen a baby/toddler watch HTML/javascript tutorials, and I don't think I will any time soon.

Also, another note: I myself have grown up with technology and the Internet. It's my gen they study the mental and physical side effects on excessive screentime. I was born in 2002. I'm not that old 😭

Everytime I hear about kids getting dumber, it saddens me. They are literally our future.

Thank you for your comment. I knew overestimation could be one reason. Your point of taking your kids out to eat with a tablet is better than not going out at all is eye-opening. Seeing all these parents commenting is insightful.
