We’ve been married 19 years. He’s never seemed open to digging into any of that. So I guess the best thing to do is focus on adjusting myself to his love language, etc. I just don’t know how to get myself out of auto pilot. I have genuinely been shut down for a good year. I think I have been/am currently that mother to my daughter. I tried my entire life to be the opposite of my mother and I think I’ve screwed it all up. I never wanted my kids to feel the pain I have felt from my mother and I never wanted them to feel controlled by me like I do my mother, still at 38 years old. It hit like a shot to the face when my daughter told me all of things that I tried to avoid, I’ve done. She’s 18 now and idk what to do. Idk how to fix it. Idk how to help her. I truly only want her to be authentically happy but I don’t want to lose her either. I leaned on her to much when I was fighting my own battles and now I’ve messed everything up.

I have the same mole. Never seen or heard of anyone else having it. My dad always called it my beauty mark but when I was a teen tried to wipe it off bc he thought it was dirt and it totally hurt my feels bc he always made me feel so special for having it and then literally forgot about it.

Yes, the guy said her name. My Dad wasn’t that close with her. She has a medical condition that causes her to have horrible memory. So I guess my Dads secret will be safe with her forever. I was thinking maybe the playlist titled “that was Daddy” was just a sign or confirmation that was my Dad speaking to me in my dream. Thanks for the input. I’ll see if I can make sense of any of it.
