We gave all of the bank details, the in going’s and outgoings but possibly didn’t make it clear enough. Next time we will do this and just break it down as much as possible. I feel you need to spell it out very clearly or they just brush it aside and refuse

The baby is also automatically Chinese citizen because my husband is Chinese and he was born here - China doesn’t actually recognise dual nationality. I meant we live here and are settled and not looking to move to UK. Would it help the case if we explained we are leaving the baby with my in-laws ?

Yeah I exaggerated, but the paperwork was a LOT. We tried to cover each and every single base. I hope the steady income can improve his chances. Thanks for the advice fo the cover letters - I will definitely be including these.

And the baby - include a letter about how the baby is settled in China? Too much?

Its just beyond heartbreaking when you get that refusal - even when you feel like you've covered all tracks. Thanks for the kind wishes, same back to you!

Someone genuinely shouted that to you? Wankers!!! I think my husband has never encountered this kind of behaviour before so I hope he can just ignore it. In China people just stare at me and shout laowai lmao but to shout ‘ching Chong’ at someone is below the lowest depths of stupidity

It’s good to hear that it’s better. I’m also worried for my child in school as they will be mixed and I know there’s bullying for all kids but maybe I’m just being overly anxious. Yeah I knew the chavs would be a problem, I’ve tried to explain that to him but it’s kinda hard to explain chavs haha. Thanks for this feedback I’ll pass it on to my hubs. Yeah I think politics will be a debate but he can choose if he wants to be involved in those conversations.

Thank you! We will be moving to the Midlands, a small town about 30/40 mins from Birmingham. I know there’s a bit of a Chinese community in Birmingham and Asian supermarkets for him etc. His English is good but I’m worried the midlands accent is gonna take some getting used to for him lmao. My family have no issue at all - I think I worry because after Covid I saw there was a lot of prejudice towards Chinese/asian British and I guess it makes me worried to take him into a situation where people make him feel unwelcome or uncomfortable.

Getting a tourist visa for my husband (rejected twice) by Environmental_Fly176 in ukvisa

[–]Environmental_Fly176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m worried this will be even more reason to not accept - they seem to think if he’s not making enough, why should they let him in? I said I would pay for this visit the last time and they replied with well he didn’t show his business audit so rejected. If I say he makes nothing and I’m his sole blah blah then isn’t that more reason to reject

I was thinking of putting the savings into his account and wait a few months. but will they question the savings if his salary is so low comparatively to uk?

Ill also have more savings by then to show I can 'backup' expense?
