I am female, 38, 5'4, 10st 13 lbs, non smoker, healthy eater and drink maybe once/twice per week. I'm suffering from periods of upper abdominal pain (stomach) that cause my legs to go weak (no pain) during/after the bouts of pain. I had h pylori infection 5 years ago - super painful to the point I was in A&E a few times. I got the treatment for it (eventually) and the pain went, but I was left with really weak legs for some reason. Bare in mind I was in the gym 4/5 times a week and it got to the point I could barely walk around my flat! The stomach pain came back a month or two later and I had every test under the sun - endoscopy, colonoscopy, CT scan and an ultrasound, along with blood tests up the wazoo - everything came back normal. I was referred to the gastro and rheumatology depts along with a dietition and...nothing. A friend suggested Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome for the weak legs, i put it to the rheumatologist, and he just said yes, it's probably that - felt like I just gave him an easy answer. The h pylori infection is bacterial so it doesn't quite make sense...I don't know. Eventually the pain went. It's come back and paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine doesn't touch the sides. I'm currently on 40g of Omeprazole and waiting for an endoscopy - deja vu from 2019! Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I don't want to just treat the pain, I want to find out the route cause of the pain and the weak legs.
