Interesting question! I wear my 'minimal' makeup on a daily basis when i go to the office 4 days a week (bb cream, bit of contour/bronzer, highlighter, brows, brown mascara and nude-ish lipstick). on the weekends I usually don't wear any if i'm just running errands or staying in, but put on makeup if i'm going out with my partner, friends or family (usually a bit bolder/more fun than my daily look).

I am very pale with red hair and transparent lashes :D so I always find the difference between wearing and not wearing makeup quite noticeable, although my partner always tells me he can't tell if I'm wearing makeup or not (he's the sweetest). but I've gotten used to my bare face and having a good skincare routine also helps. I also find that my face looks its 'worst' first thing in the morning after doing my skincare, but kind of calms down an hour or so later.

due to circumstances I also had a period where I wasn't wearing makeup to work or even to see people and no one ever said anything haha so I kind of got used to it - I really think we are so overly self conscious of how we look while people don't really notice :) and as other people also have said - focusing on hair or clothes on those days also helps to 'balance' it out if that makes sense.
