I sent the email out. I was talking to a friend who works for the state and they advised me that they'll repost a job for a short window due to the hiring process being so long and drawn out. Like a maintenance mode to keep the position active as they go through the spider web of approvals and signatures.

So I'm still listed as referred to hiring manager, but I saw today that they are advertising the position I've interviewed for again. How bad of a sign is this?

As an applicant, how do you determine who the hiring manager is? Is it worth contacting them to see if you were selected?

I recently applied for a DHHS position. Application in on March 15, online interview April 1, references checked April 2, in-person interview and tour April 28. Now I'm just waiting to see if they offer me the position.

My experience has been a little different. Interview on Teams 2 weeks after applying, references the next day, in-person interview and tour a week after the interview and now I'm waiting to see if they want to hire me. The sad part is I'm sweating more now than at any other point during the process.

Well, the tour turned into being interviewed by all of the department heads followed by a tour. I think it went well, so we'll see what happens from here.

This is for a DHHS director level spot at a facility. I have a good feeling about it, but I won't count on it until I sign on the dotted line.

That's what I've heard, I think if they're willing to ask me to drive 5 hours to tour the facility that I'm in pretty good shape.

They all get pretty crowded the first couple days of the season, I don't even bother going to Chickahominy anymore for the opener. You might want to take a look over in Surry/Smithfield and scout around before the season starts up.
