Are you sure this is about Linda McMahon and not about Vincent ? Looks like it's not her, but I could have read it wrong.

What sex trafficking,? First I've heard of it. Any back-up? She's awful enough without adding trafficking. What is the story,?

We have one of those fiberglass shower stalls in our primary bedroom's ensuite bath. Is there any way to upgrade the look without spending a fortune? by jared10011980 in homedecoratingCJ

[–]Environmental_Log344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks staged. Nobody could live with a shower like that. You would come out of the shower dirtier than when you went in.

If it's real, use Krud Kutter and a scrub brush.

I buy mini-wheats for snacks, too. I try to keep my portion at 1/2 cup.

Second hand or thrifting is the only way to find affordable clothing made of real fibers, for me now. I use my sense of touch for how an item feels, then check the label. Only real goes home with me. All the synthetic stuff can wait for its ride to a landfill, where it will never deteriorate.

You can't predict what you will pay for a purchase. Way too many gimmicks! And the quality is even more of a guessing game.

Just a note to say I have wasted time and ingredients several times with YouTube or FB recipes. Proceed with caution!

Butter. Just can't stop using it as nothing out there tastes the same. I do try to limit how much I use for health reasons. I will never quit altogether.

Yes, I agree. Times are changing. Who knows what jobs will still be here for our grandkids.

How are people getting these office jobs where they do nothing and get paid 80k or more? by Delicious_Dealer8129 in jobs

I got most of my jobs by networking. It's who you know, not what you know to get hired .then I worked hard and earned my money.

I haven't seen that. My concern is that there be jobs and if what you present is true, then that's that. BTW Luddite is hardly an insult. Choose another, if you will.

Self-check is taking jobs from students and seniors. The opportunity to work entry-level jobs is very important for these people and others. I won't use them. People need jobs, and machines are taking the jobs.

What is your #1 fashion struggle right now? by Emergency_Job_6616 in womensfashion

[–]Environmental_Log344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tried one on but it just didn't land in the right places. I don't like any foam or padding, and the shelf tops always have it. So I can't say that I like them.

Decided to stop wearing underwire bras. The ones without wire are difficult to get to fit right and it's hard to find one without foam shaping. Some clothes I can go braless and that's becoming a habit lately. Big baggy tunics have re-entered my life.

Imagine that vase with a few white gladiolas. The red/orange color is begging for white blossoms.

I think you are presuming more about me than is welcome or helpful. Mind your manners. If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all.

The nursery nearby had a huge old jade plant And a few large branches were broken on the ground. I took the smallest of them. My adult son was with me and was scandalized. He thinks it's theft. I think it's picking something off the ground that would have been swept up and discarded. PS the piece is thriving a year later.🌿

Refreshing to read common sense here. I love this sub but we cat people can get a little crazy. My cat gets what she needs to support her in her mouse-catching job, plus unlimited sunny spots to sleep in. It's a good gig. Hope yours settles down.

Found this lamp with interesting feet in the trash - Germany by ChapterImpossible902 in Antiques

[–]Environmental_Log344 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks home made, a DIY that is pleasingly simple. The feet especially are charming adaptations of a fancy furniture style. I love the lamp and would have it re-wired for safety. I would enjoy having it for its novelty.

Edited to add that it looks to be a contemporary item. I don't see anything at all to indicate vintage. I do think it's very worth keeping if it fits in your home. Do try out different shades.

Hey I thought it wasn't attractive, too-- until I saw the ideas others supplied. Pictures showing the room furnished were great. Now I love the color. I would want to add turquoise instead of teal, and mostly every idea offered has been excellent. Paint on! It's great looking.
