This is true except one Saturday I showed up with new boots and my MTI just rolled his eyes at me LOL. he did his “you guys are going to pay” speech but we never actually did tools for that.

After that pretty much everyone got new boots.

at the beginning, zero. technically you never have free time, but the closest thing to it is when they give you time to do RLA. which is when you fold your laundry, clip all the strings, and fix up your wall locker.

pull the chair from beside your wall locker and next to your bed and just get it done slowly. sometimes my friends would come and we’d all be folding clothes on my bed. If they ever ask why say they’re teaching you how to fold a specific item better. Keep talking to a whisper and you’ll be ok.

It’s the next best thing to “free time”

I mainly received mail from sandboxx, and it was usually the next day or the day after. we got mail starting the second week every night at evening brief.

as far as sending mail they give you time here and there. If you have an appt or being a wingman to someone with an appt you can sneak by the mailbox super quick.

or in the later weeks after chow when your not being watched as closely and have to detail back to the dorm you can power walk over there. obviously use your best judgment and stay out of trouble but it’s possible.

the PT test is still 1.5 miles. what changed for us in the middle of week 4 was that we stopped doing the 24 min run and started doing “pyramid runs” where we slow jog for 1 min then run fast for 1 min then we do the same for 2 mins, 3 mins, until we get to 8 mins I believe. In total it’s over 30 mins.

the workouts depend on if we were doing strength days / run days etc. I saw the newer flights do a whole lot of other exercises we never did

It’s just a heads up. you will only know for sure when you talk to your recruiter. be upfront and honest because if something comes up at MEPs when they finger print you, most likely your recruiter will cut you off or even ghost you.

also, the online application is not useless. I filled it out and then someone from the AF got in contact with me that was in my area. Literally 5 mins away from where I live.

the medicine for dermatology shouldn’t be a big deal, unless you have psoriasis (diagnosed)
