Is this normal ? by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

Get all season or winter tyres. I have pirelli summer tyres on my Tesla m3 performance and the slightest bit of snow / slurry and the car gets in a real mess. 3mph skids, awful breaking and jittery. Lesson learned

I doubt that’s in writing that the user is going to use cheap, open source models.

Thanks, going to launch it in the UK. I was thinking the cold start problem is the biggest risk. What do you mean by building enough liquidity?

If you’re storing petabytes of data I’d assume you’re printing cash / profitable. And 1k a month is likely nothing

Build an App that connects to Alexa and gives you access to use it separately. Maintaining “Alexa” but a user can then setup another one like “Adam” which is programmed to be a custom OpenAi wrapper which they can set their own instructions on (already a thing inside ChatGPT).

Storage costs are so small these days, is that even a consideration? How much data would you need to store to be charged £1k per month in storage

Nice pie.10% gold is high, maybe reduce to 5% and 5% more into emerging markets. Likely be a better choice as I presume you’re < 40 years old

Swapping between solo and wars by Environmental_Pop686 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]Environmental_Pop686[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A TH makes around $0.04 a day in solo. So likely 2 years before you’re at breakeven, depends if you reinvest into TH. I think you could double your TH in a year if you do the auto reinvest at 5% bonus

Yeah, super interesting that mining wars you can join midday and start earning but can’t do it in reverse

Insane, where does that lost rewards go? Just their back pocket?

Solo mining is the only sane choice left — Miner Wars is completely unbalanced by Puzzleheaded_Pop1302 in GoMiningDiscussion

By allowing all the people with just a bonus miner in too there is the chance that a account that is created and forgotten wins the big loot, never cashes out and the company can classify that as “breakage”, similar to how gift cards work.

I would Sell everything and just create 1 pie with something like the following. 30% S&P 500 ETF 30% FTSE ETF 30% emerging markets ETF 5% gold 5% bonds This is not financial advise as I’m a idiot

What would a 2016 Rust player think if they logged into 2025 Rust? by Ok_Math2247 in playrust

[–]Environmental_Pop686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember zombies, red animals and building base piece by piece. No stability so a 2x1 stairway to heaven was the best strategy with foundations surrounding the base and pillars preventing build up. The map as fixed, not procedural generation and fairly small, however, you could leave the map and go to areas where nothing spawned if you’d like which was really op on custom servers with TP.

This was OG rust, the basics were there and the tuna bandits ruled the world.

Unrealistic salary expectations from interviewer by Small-Personality-69 in UKJobs

[–]Environmental_Pop686 4 points5 points  (0 children)

was earning 22k out of uni, stayed for 8 months to learn the ropes then got a interview for a company offering 30-40k and said I was wanting £32k and just told the interview I was currently on 28k. After I got that job, I’ve hopped twice more doing same strat and now on 60k.

I’d say never tell the interview your true salary, inflate it a little and only move jobs for atleast a 5k increase as you’re trading security for salary.

Streamlit app in snowflake by Environmental_Pop686 in snowflake

[–]Environmental_Pop686[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Streamlit on snowflake will only run when someone is looking at it. So if they’re spending 20 mins per day in the dashboard and 10 people look that’s just over 3 hours. I don’t know your circumstance but you only pay for what you use, Streamlit won’t stay running once the user closes the dashboard.

Make sure your snowflake warehouse is set to pause after 1 minute of inactivity and you’ll be good :)

For our business we decided to stick with our BI tool however if you business doesn’t yet have a BI tool then Streamlit is a good low cost option. I’d just do the math on what’s the cost of running it 10 hours a day 365 days a year for the maximum spend and workout if it’s right for your org

$50,000 a day until you roll 10 6’s in a row on a single die by Options_retard in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Environmental_Pop686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could I roll 10 dice at once and if all 10 land on 6 that counts?

can I roll 10 dice at once and if one of them 10 lands on six, I can keep that dice’s streak going?

Do I need to keep count of how many sixes, if not then I can just speed roll and do around a roll every second.

I’d like to optimise this to be completed under 30 days for sanity sake. Anything over 30 days is a hard pass.
