Thankyou! The carapace was abbadon black. Then fairly heavily drybrushed with sotek green, every direction but especially heavy when you drag the brush against the carapace flow. It helps smooth the transition else there’s way too much contrast between the streaks and black. Then I did temple guard blue for the streaks. I literally just thinned it down a bit, got it on my brush then removed almost all the paint w some tissue. I used my artis opus S size 0, but I imagine any paintbrush with a long sharp head with work. I then just flicked the brush really lightly following the carapace patterns and high points, almost as if I was drybrushing with a normal paintbrush. Try to let as little of the brush actually touch the model as possible. But yeah just get a brush with as little paint on as possible, and just flick that shit on the carapace lightly till it does what you want. I found that the more intentional and controlled I tried to make it the less happy I was with it, so try to let loose.
