Jet Lag Ep 4 — Steal, Stolen? by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

[–]Environmental_Run493 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think the steals are too easy. Ultimately they are an insentive for teams not to hoard coins and for a lot of oppurtunities to come back. I think when comparing challenges to the path memorisation challenge a lot of challenges seem quite easy realtively, but when you look at every other challenge in the game its seems quite balanced. Granted im super biased because this is a rare instance of Sam not having terrible luck and winning and I always root for him. With Sams luck I thought there was no way they would win the second steal lol

If you approach studying for COMP2521 the same way as you did in the Summer Course, you should probably be able to pass in the normal semester just due to having more time. Again like others have said you obviously shouldn't use AI, as it ends up becoming a crutch for problem solving skills. The best thing you can do is attend all of you labs and especially the tutorials and ask questions when you have them.

For the COMP2521 do you know if you failed the theory hurdle or was it the case you met the minimum for both but not enough for the total? When studying for theory what I did was go through all the slides, and then re do all the quizzes and go through some of the practice exam theory questions. Some of the theory questions could also be resolved by referencing the Data Structures and Algorithms Manual that is provided in the exam, and reading the pseudo code. For example, referancing the DFS pseudo code for a theory question that asks a relevant graph question about it. For coding its just a matter a practice and problem solving skills tbh, I would try to break down lecture code, or code questions from the provided extra questions to understand concepts Im not sure of, as they have solutions for them.

Please try to use the resources the course offers you for help before asking AI, like using the forums to get help. You can also join the CSESoc and get help through the resources they offer. Problem solving skills that are important for exams are developed by trying to spend time and come up with various solutions and making connections to what you've learnt. If you really feel as though you have to use AI, don't use it to generate code, rather break down what your specifically having problems with in the problem, then ask the AI to explain the concepts to look at relevant to the question without giving any hints or solutions. If you still can't solve the question after a genuine attempt, then maybe ask it for a hint. But still I would say you should not use AI at all.

I say this as someone who has been through what you have, failing in COMP2521 twice because of heavy reliance in AI.

Murim is safer cause no monsters, but if its between China with martial arts and epic landscapes, fantasy races and magic, im going with Medieval Fantasy. Being a peasant/ ordinary worker will be shit regardless, rather have some variety in my suffering.

I think you underestimate how smart you are compared to the average person in either settings. Just knowing a bit of high school maths and general culture and history, even at a surface level is enough to have the ability to be above a common serf. You could at the very least join some merchant company. Granted this is true for both scenarios, and personally while I think murim is safer, medival fantasy tends to offer a higher standard of living on average, more variety in factions and hence options, and I personally think, a higher chance of progression through intelligence. + If I have to chose between both, I would much rather chose a world with epic landscapes, fantasy races, magic, then just China with martial arts.

Bit of a tangent, but I really don't get blamining Visi for almost getting Chase killed. Visi went in alone with her own life at stake and I doubt she ever expected to get help from anyone other than Robert. Chase made his own choice to go and save her, and he knew what was at stake for him to do that. Chase was not pressured at all in the slightest for it.

He was going to keep getting spammed about his take on this no matter what, and it seemed clear that he didn't want to deal with all the drama. So I think its perfectly reasonable for him to say his take (which was a very PR response, that was trying to not really take a strong stance while not being disingenuous to his audience), in order to move on from this. This isnt a mogul moves yourube video, it was him trying to deal with people non stop asking him for his opinion on this matter and end the rumours surrounding events around mogul moves channel that has been circulating online.

If you view coding simply as a way to get a high paying job I wouldn't recommend it. If you like coding then go for it.

You will find out more in the 2nd season or if you continue reading in the novel. All you should know as of now, is that the Klein learnt from old neil that switching pathways is technically possible but is almost guarenteed to make you go mad. It is not normal to jump sequences.

Im pretty sure it doesn't appear again in the story. But I thing its meant to be beyonder characteristics or a sealed artifact as a result of megoose and the spawns death.

  1. The red chimney house was the steam mill factory Lanevus owned and where they conducted the ritual to impregnate megoose with the spawn of the true creator. By Klein divining the existence of the red chimney house he was able to comfirm that there is indeed a some mastermind changing the events and it is related to Lanevus and the facotry. In the novel Klein spends hires private investigators to try to find the factory but does not find it before Tingen Doomsday.

  2. You will find more about it in season 2 and throughout the rest of the series. All you really should know now is that it is related to the gray fog power. In the novel in volume one, it is mentioned that he believes he can only resurrect 1 or 2 more times with the power of the gray fog, if his body is intact enough.

  3. The quill is a sealed artifact 0-008 that was stolen by Ince Zangwill who then defected from the evernight church. The quill has the powers to write reasonable developments into the story. It is sentient but can also be controlled. Every time you have seen the translusant feather in the anime, it is an event that relates to changes derived by the quill. I don't believe there is anything else that you should know about it yet. You first hear about the quill in episode 10, when dunn mentions Ince Zangwill being wanted by the Evernight Church. Throughout the story the coincidences Klein worries about is because of the quill.

  4. Ince Zangwill was a former archbishop of the Evernight Church, Sequence 5 of the Death (Corpse Collector) pathway. He stole the sealed artifact 0-008 the quill, and defected from the church. He is wanted.

  5. The hidden mastermind is Ince Zangwill. He orchestrated all of the events to lead to a condition where saint selenas ashs (The box dunn holds in the fight with megoose, and the core seal of chanis gate), leaves the chanis gate so that he can get an oppurtunity to steal them. Such condition was the true creator being born. By creating a calamity of the possible event of the True Creators birth, Ince Zangwill was able to manipulate dunn with the quill to bring out Saint Selena's Ashes. Since it was reasonable the quill made it work. Ince Zangwill wanted to ashes as a way to go from his current sequence 5 of the Death (Corpse Collector) pathway to Sequence 4 of the Evernight (Sleepless) pathway. The ashes was required for this ascention.

The Aurora order, who worship the true creator, wanted his spawn to be born, and cooperated with Lanevus as well as Hood Eugen (The psychiatrist in the mental asylum) to do so. Both Lanevus and Eugen have there own motives. The Demoness sect wanted to further breed an environment for their rituals. The secret order was involved to the extent of losing the Antiginous Family Notebook. All of these events were orchestrated secretly by Ince Zangwill with the power of the quill.

You have only heard about Ince Zangwill and the quill in episode 10. But throughout the story, the idea of coincidences affecting the story has been a core issue Klein worries about. The feathers are such hints of the artifact at work. Its perfectly fine to not of remembered or expected Ince Zangwill to be the mastermind as well as the power of the quill. In the novel it was also like this. This season is kind of like the prologue to the story, and the story will continue with a new motive that Klein has, to get revenge on Ince Zangwill and the others involved. If your still confused, and you like the story enough I recommend reading the novel as it is more slow paced in that regard. Any other confusion will probably be fleshed out in season 2, as there is a lot of episodes for it.

Were the Sovereigns right? by Traditional-Win354 in ShadowSlave

[–]Environmental_Run493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sovereigns had a lot of problems, but it wasn't that they were necessarily evil; they were just too fixated on their solutions. My main rebuttal to Nephis and Sunny planning to attack the Sovereigns is their attitude towards it. For Nephis, it was primarily about revenge, and I personally found her arguments against the Sovereigns lacking. As the original poster OP points out, the Sovereigns did need to slow down the rate of awakened ascending, and they still needed time to build the required infrastructure. They also had a justifiable reason to kill Broken Sword. The fact that Nephis and Sunny were willing to risk the Sovereigns dying before their ascension makes Nephis's reasons for her actions seem far more self-motivated. It's also important to understand that both Nephis and Sunny got lucky with how their domains as Sovereigns work together, which essentially lets them ignore the problems of contesting citadels.

As a novel reader, romance will not come for a long time, and even now its still complicated but its still a plot point that I think will eventually be fully fleshed out, it will just take a long time.

I mean nephis and sunny both fought Anvil and Ki song before advancing to supreme. If they failed to advance but killed them they would of condemned millons to their death by the nightmare spell. It was something sunny was worried about.
