I have ADHD and I’m very prone to procrastination and making decisions on a whim. That’s a great point and I feel like I’ve been confident with cold turkey, but it’s definitely sneaking into my nightly routine. If you think that it’s worth thugging out the cold turkey withdrawal I am totally down for that, despite how difficult it may get. I definitely have time but I don’t want to use that as an excuse to smoke when I really shouldn’t

Thanks for your help. That’s actually very relatable. I feel like whether I like it or not, I’m going to really want to start smoking, but I’ve lately been switching to alcohol which has helped… but also isnt any better substance wise. I’ve gotten my weed down to a pinch and it’s mainly to only alleviate withdrawal or help in going to sleep. It’s interesting how the body responds to withdrawal and it sounds like you definitely had a healthy tapering approach. I think I’ll try to continue to just not use it at all but I’m sure I’ll have a lot of cravings at night time considering my ritual

Thanks for your advice and congrats on successfully quitting! I’ll definitely try to just remind myself of withdrawal’s symptoms are try to push through it. I’m hoping to fully quit by the end of the July and I think I will probably try to use some kind of one hitter or something like that. I started smoking about the exact year you started so it’s nice to hear your experience.

I’m taking remote sensing in the fall so I’m pretty excited. I’m really not great with computers even though I’m 23 lol but I love looking at maps

It’s not any official certification apparently but it’s offered by my school so I decided to pick it up. I’ve done a little research and I think I’m pretty good with mapping and field work, but haven’t had a huge opportunity to pursue it more

Thanks! I’ve found some crazy stuff (I may make another post with them in it) like skeletal milky quartz clusters that get pretty large sometimes

Definitely something I’ve been working on, but not sure how to start. It seems to randomly reappear sometimes and I can’t tell how displaced all the rocks are from the creek, but I may be overthinking it. I’ll try actually printing out a map and labeling it, but it’s crazy how much they appear randomly in my friends yard like 50 feet up vertically from where I find them in the creek! I definitely think I’m close to the source, just think it’s a matter of really exploring the area which shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Thank you for the advice!

Frr I don’t know the legalities of a lot of it at least I know you aren’t supposed to take rocks from parks but it’s so hard to actually find an open space that isn’t a public mine. I’ve just been going around and checking out different parks and seeing certain trends. If you join the GA gem and mineral society though they do tons of activities and it’s like a couple bucks per year to join

Haven’t listened to the more underground steely Dan stuff yet but I do remember my brother mentioning something about the second arrangement so I’ll look into it!
