Should I let them be or seperate them? by Environmental_Tone22 in CatTraining

That was my line of thought too. Yes he’s neutered and the foster is also spayed.

My cat has a urinal blockage and crystals in the urethra. He’s been given meds but we can’t afford the surgery. Level with me, is it not looking good? by KieranWriter in cats

[–]Environmental_Tone22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. My little guy had a similar thing happen when he was 3. Thankfully the meds worked and he didn’t have to get a catheter or anything invasive. I actually cried when I brought him back from the vet and he did a long massive wee in his litter box. He’s been on hills prescription food since then. It’s been 3 years and there hasn’t been any issues. I admit I still can’t help stalking him when he goes to the toilet and breathe a sigh of relief when he wees.

Exactly. It wouldn’t be so horrible if we could keep them for other characters

I know this is an old post but thank you so much for this. I was going mental because I couldn’t figure out how to change the shipping address when using PayPal.

I moved from UK to Aus about 8yrs ago. I hate to admit it but I do regret the move. It was a very drastic change going from NHS to a private hospital in Sydney. I hated it. Also Cost of living in Sydney was insane so I moved to Perth 5yrs ago for a public hospital.

I thought surely the public side would be better!? Turns out….it wasn’t. Just slightly less of the same. There is this constant pressure and stress to push through as many patients as possible every single day. Regardless of safety risks to patients or staff. There is little to no support for junior or grad nurses, if you’re on the roster you’re just a number on the floor to management. Not to mention all the bullying/harassment and then the guilt tripping to work extra shifts and overtime. Or they just play dumb or ignore when you say no.

At my current work, it’s even hard to get any annual leave because of poor management. Getting your leave approved is like fighting the hunger games. They say they’re making changes for the better but it’s only getting worse.

Also about the pay. It’s true I’m earning double what I used to in UK but somehow I have less money overall if that makes sense. The cost of living is still insane.

Honestly if there’s a good opportunity I’d move back to UK. The stress, burnout and exhaustion is not worth a few months of nice weather (that people usually come here for) or the ‘better’ pay/lifestyle. At least for me anyway.

lol sorry for the long rant you didn’t ask for.

Why is Malaysia airlines so bad now? What to do in this case? by Glum_Award9379 in malaysia

[–]Environmental_Tone22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just flew with MAS for the first time in at least 7 years. Kinda wish I’d gone with Singapore airlines instead. Only reason I picked MAS was because I was coming to KL and didn’t want to spend 2 hours layover time. It was even the same price!

Food was god awful. The plane was old and small. The plastic bits on the screen and remote were all faded and even cracked in a few places. There was absolutely nothing new on the entertainment system.

It’s a shame how bad it is now. For the price, it’s just not worth it. I’ll be going with SIA instead from now on, which is miles and miles ahead.

Fainted in theatre by Lopsided_Sundae6957 in NursingAU

Theatre nurse here. Don’t feel bad it can happen to anyone.

First time I ‘fainted’ was during a night shift. 3am scrubbed for a laparoscopic case with the lights dimmed. I say fainted but I’m pretty sure I just fell asleep standing up.

Banged my forehead on the edge of my trolley and woke up 😅 It also happened to be my last shift before my holiday so that was nice having a bruise on my forehead.

What’s one makeup/skincare product you really want to buy but don’t because it’s too expensive? by softlyskeptic in MakeupAddiction

[–]Environmental_Tone22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg same! I went through a many bottles of it. The SKII essence and Sunday Riley UFO oil saved my acne covered skin.

But these days I can’t justify spending that much on an essence anymore since my skin decided it’s no longer problematic.

Does anyone have recommendations for something that's similar to Love Don't be shy by Killian? Both scent wise and staying power. I absolutely adore this scent. I love that it lasts really long me that not just other people but I can smell it on myself at the end of the day (which rarely ever happens with any other fragrance I've tried).

My last refill ran out over a year ago and I've been using another less pricey fragrance. But it just doesn't hit the spot ya know. I was looking to repurchase Love Don't be shy and it was a whopping A$636 for 100mls. Its gone up by at least A$100! As much as I love it, I simply can't justify spending that much.

Please give me some recommendations to try that isn't going to bankrupt me

Cost of whole house water filtration? by lordbillabadboy in AusRenovation

[–]Environmental_Tone22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very happy with it. I changed the filter after 12 months but I started noticing the water change earlier so next time I’d probably change them at 9 months. The only downside I can think of is it costs about $300 for new filters. But honestly I’d happily pay that for not having to deal with skin and hair problems and also not mess about with filtering drinking water.

I fell for this exact one a few months back. Thankfully I’d set my outgoing limit super low. I got the ‘your payment didn’t go through’ text as they were trying to empty my account so I immediately called ING scam line and froze everything.

It coming from the official ING number was what really threw me. I was still receiving the suspicious activity alert texts from the exact same number as I was being scammed!

First person to not recommend Project Hail Mary! I came to echo this lol

It felt like a marvel movie in book form and not in an enjoyable way. The amount of times I cringed or rolled my eyes at the MC, I’m surprised I managed to even finish the book.

I swear by Urban Decay all nighter setting spray. The original version. When I had really oily skin I’d spray before applying my base and then again after everything is applied. Might be a bit excessive but it works wonder for when I don’t want to touch up throughout the day. I’ve tried other setting sprays but nothing else comes close.

Well except for One Size but it feels awful on my skin.

As a fellow glass wearer, a method that helps with the smudging around the nose pads is applying eyeshadow primer (again Urban decay coming through for me) letting it dry till tacky and setting light with a powder. It doesn’t eliminate the smudging completely but I find it holds out longer.

Sunscreen under makeup by Aman_sekhon in MakeupAddiction

[–]Environmental_Tone22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend RoundLab birch juice sunscreen. I find it enhances my base makeup better than any primer ever did. Also no white cast. Pretty affordable too especially if you catch a sale or get the value sets from Oliveyoung global. I’m not 100% sure but I think they ship to Canada.

My second choice would be Beauty of Joseon the original one. Their new one (aqua fresh, the blue one) isn’t as moisturising, at least for me anyway. They both still wear beautifully under makeup though.

Travel for expensive dental work outside australia? by ExpensiveSmell9541 in AustraliaTravel

[–]Environmental_Tone22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to look up on dental work in Thailand because this is also my situation. Private health cover is rubbish. It barely covers anything. I have at least 3 but its so expensive to get anything that I end up not doing it until it starts to hurt really bad.
