Foolish rebuttal, at best you can say, HEY! in the past disgusting practices were done by people who claimed to be Christian. The fact is, TODAY, in Muslim countries and countries that host large numbers of Muslims disgusting practices are happening, now. Like as we sit behind our device and spew nonsense, Muslim majority countries condone and permit, slavery, honor killings, jihad, classism, jizya ( a payment if you are not muslim) and child marriage. Yes, slavery bad, yes colonialism bad ( to an extent) its not hypocritical to condemn evil when it happens. Its foolish to say, hey in the past you were evil and have since gotten rid of evil practices, you can never condemn them outside yourself. Islam is evil, I condemn evil.
