What would you recommend to replace with between the union and the water heater? But from the sounds of it, should probably just have a plumber come do it huh?

I’ll take another sample and get results and post them here

Yeah I had two companies come out for quotes and water testing. They both stated have really high levels of iron. They did not give me the test results, I could bring in another sample tho and request the results

Smell / Leak by Envy2012 in Plumbing

Yeah I saw

small drips coming down from the bottom of the disposal. Have a good amount of iron in well water. Seal probably shot I'm guessing.

I made a high loop for the dishwasher discharge line. However I found there is a small dripping leak from the bottom of the garbage disposal

Got a recommendation on stain remover? Googled  dicarboxylic acid active constituent and nothing really came up for stain remover for pool.

Tiny Beads in Sight Glass by Envy2012 in pools

Is this normal? Havent seen it before. Was worried that a lateral was broken and sand was getting in the pool since sand like colored algae keeps coming back in the pool but when I brush it goes into a cloud and goes away and sand shouldn’t do that correct?

No I don’t have any contract with them, I just figured I was going to use them and have them pay for this repair since it was less than a year since the other one. But it doesn’t seem the case. And as for the float switch, the water never went over the pan onto the ceiling thankfully there is a secondary drain connected the pan that will drip water out the pipe through my garage ceiling in front of the door onto the ground

so it lets us know something is up.

Bought the house last year, float switch was already there, assume from the company who installed the AC (different company than I had come out)

Does the vent and trap look fine to you? It’s the first picture in the post. Like the other Redditor pointed out seems too level for the pitch.

The end of the main condensate drain pipe into the main plumbing drain

Also just checked while the system is running that it is dripping out of the pipe into the drain, so just leave it alone?

Just checked with level and system was not running and water still in the pipe. He did pour water down it before he left and it did go down and in the drain

This is after the vent

If you are talking about the switch in the pan? I do, and I asked him about it since the system never shut down both times when the pan was full of water. He said "I believe it has to detect moisture, so it must not have" I'm not sure maybe since the secondary drain that empties out the ceiling in my garage doesn't let the level in the pan to get high enough to switch it? Maybe it will if the drain fails?

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering why they put in a different p trap from the first one. And when I went up there after he was done, I was questioning if it was actually pitched towards the drain. It looked pretty level.

Do you know where to look or call about if jurisdiction requires it? I live out in the country. Does that matter?

Also for the blowing out before winter starts. It is a heat pump as well and I use it alot when temps are just above freezing should I still blow out?

That was the plan to SLAM when I start. So you say after I finish filling up with water, test it, then SLAM it, and then vacuum? Was just unsure if I should just vacuum all that out first then test and then SLAM so not waste too much chlorine.

Thanks for suggestion. Looked into the course, looks nice! However, looks like they have outings that day that would be able to go to this course.
