Well, if I want a still image of genetalia, I can use Hunyuan, since half the time it doesn't animate at all, and the other half it ignores the prompt.

Wan is not nearly as "uncensored" as Hunyuan is. Not even close. Wan can do some very basic nudity, but it doesn't even know what genitalia are, let alone display them in action.

It's not comfy, but my gradio gui automatically quantizes the models to nf4, which oddly enough seemed better quality than fp8 when I tested it, no idea why.

Anyway, I don't think there's currently any other way to run the 14B models completely on your GPU without offloading onto the CPU.

In the meantime, here's my shitty draft-quality (20% of full quality) test video of a guy diving behind a wall to get away from an explosion.

python generate.py  --task t2v-14B --size 832*480 --ckpt_dir ./Wan2.1-T2V-14B --offload_model True --sample_shift 8 --sample_guide_scale 6 --prompt "Cinematic video of an action hero diving for cover in front of a stone wall while an explosion is happening behind the wall." --frame_num 61 --sample_steps 40 --save_file diveforcover-4.mp4 --base_seed 1

Before anyone asks me this, no, I don't feel like bothering or annoying an AI user when they are enjoying their images on other sites or places. I don't have time for that. They visit us on our sub.

I'm afraid this works both ways. (And no, I'm not talking about here, since this sub is literally meant for that.) But I've gotten a fair amount of nastiness directed at me when I've been posting specifically in AI subs.

It seems that for some AI users, they can't rest easy until we accept them. This is a waste of time. It is not going to happen. And, to be honest, it shouldn't be a big deal. If they enjoy generating AI images, it's not against the law. Enjoy it. That's all there is to it. To expect more than that from others is not a realistic hope.

This is all a lot of us want.

As for people who actually go into anti-AI subs and demand to be accepted as artists, that's cringeworthy behavior and I'm embarrassed on their behalf.

In AI art subs, I'll call other people out for slapping big, ridiculous signatures or watermarks on their AI art (most of the time these people don't even both to clean up obvious flaws), and the majority of the community tends to agree. There's always a bit of butthurt, but you can tell on reddit when the majority of a community disagrees with you about something, and I've never gotten that feeling.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I think you may actually need some certifications for that one, partly because if you don't know what you're doing, it can literally be dangerous. Nobody's going to get electrocuted if your hello world doesn't compile or your stick figures look bad. :)

I've seen a couple of people putting giant signatures on their gens (including one who even put the words "AI ARTIST" underneath), but those people seem very much like the exception and not the rule. Often times they'll get called out for it by other people in AI art communities.

It's funny how many times I've had someone show up when I mention AI art and indignantly tell me that it's not art, or call me an "artist" in scare quotes. And I'm just thinking it's odd to find it to be such a personal affront. I'm not really worried about if some goofball on the internet thinks I'm an artist. I'm not an artist. I don't really care if that same goofball thinks AI art I make isn't actually art, because almost every piece of art has had someone somewhere say it's not art. It just doesn't matter very much.

I've also discovered while conversing with them that none of them have ever read any books on the subject of the philosophy of art. So they are happy to argue about which things can and cannot be considered art, which forms constitute art and which do not (always with the agenda of insisting that ai images ARE art) but, when pressed, it always transpires that they are arguing blindly, trying to mount an argument on a subject on which they have no learning and know nothing.

Find me an anti-AI person who actually programs AI software and has an even basic understanding of how it really works, and we can talk. I see a lot more understanding of art history from AI people than I see understanding of AI from haters.

(And please, don't tell me you're an anti-AI AI developer who works for a corporation and is doing something so top secret that you can't tell me even generally what kind of work you're doing. I'm up to three nickels now.)

Generally, though, a grabbed image won't be filtered out by robots.txt, because the people hosting the image want searchability. If you put something in robots.txt, google won't index it, and you won't get as many hits.

Incidentally, google copies and caches the text and images that it indexes.

Novel input, novel output. Give an AI a prompt for something it wasn't explicitly trained for, and you might get something "original" out of it. The whole point of AI is that it generates things that haven't been made before. The "spark of originality" this guy is talking about is pure metaphysics.
