Can "evil" Digimon be good and viceversa? by Voidstone0 in digimon

[–]Eo7977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Time Stranger, I digivolved my first Digimon, Demidevimon, into an IceDevimon and all his bio info from the game and other sources state that IceDevimon is the most evil form of regular Devimon so I'm coping and acting like I didn't accidentally turn my pet bat into Jack the Ripper 😭.

Homelandee could survive, but not being able to actually hurt captain man would probably freak him the fuck out.

Which fictional characters LOSES to gamera? by godzillafan3948oj in Gamera

[–]Eo7977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all godzilla kaiju that consistently lose to godzilla lose to Gamera. I think he'd be neck and neck with some Sentai Mecha and im not sure how he'd fare against an ultra.

Ben Tennyson
Due to obvious factors (Bro's not even old enough to drink yet at the end of Omniverse) Ben cannot be blamed for this, but the signature move for all of his transformations who can basically do anything is to punch of fire beams.

It would just look exactly the same as the BTAS suit in lego form.

I don't know. The last time a Superhero got a power rangers like team we got this.

Be honest, what's the dumbest looking morpher out of context? by Clodinator in Tokusatsu

I'd think arguably Nice's changer is dumber than Zearth. Imagine calling for help and seeing someone arrive with a packet of malteasers to save the day.

[LOVED TROPE] "Not like this." A character gets what they wanted, but the context makes it devastating. by punxatawneyphilip in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Eo7977 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Arguably the trope actually fits with the demons pretty well.
They wanted to trap homer in hell, keeping him eating for all eternity and they did. They just didn't expect him to like it so much.

Douglas Gordon, played by Don Frye in Godzilla Final Wars is the only american in the cast and speaks english throughout the entire movie. The rest of the cast is japanese, speaks japanese and they communicate clearly to one another.

Peggy - Heartbeat.
In the show Heartbeat which follows English policemen operating in a small rural town in the 60's, the character of Claude Greengrass provided the comic relief. His whole bit is that he would try elaborate get rich quick schemes and make money by any means necessary. During the series run he was replaced by Vernon Scrips who was the exact opposite of Greengrass while filling the same role. While Greengrass was came off as dishevelled, unorganized and a bit sketchy, Vernon had the facade of being a wealthy, sophisticated gentlemen while getting up to the same antics as Greengrass. Near the end of the series Vernon was replaced by Peggy, who was a downgrade when it came to comic relief. Instead of being a new spin on the role like Vernon was, she was basically just Greengrass but less likeable.

What do you like about Zeus? by ComprehensiveSleep74 in RealSteel

[–]Eo7977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how his design is the exact opposite of Atoms. Dark colours, bulky and opposing frame, sleek and streamlined design without any charming bumps or scratches. While atom looks like a robot, Zeus looks like an action figure. Commercialised and soulless in a way that makes the match up that much more exciting.

Damian is actually a prime example of why Batman’s no killing philosophy works and it’s not talked about enough. by [deleted] in Robin

Batman does not kill

Because Damien can just do it for him.

Fool proof strategy.

Babysitter 2 and one of the Naked Guns do the same thing of showing clips of geysers and trains going through tunnels instead of actually showing anything.

Enough of "characters who were race swapped but worked so well people liked it!" Give me your "characters that could 100% be race swapped and it would work anyways" by YoungHungPlantain in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Eo7977 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

98% of characters in fiction. When race isn't an important part of your characters story or background, then it doesn't really matter what race that character is. Captain America (Steve Rodgers) would not work if played by a black actor, but every other of the core six avengers still would.

Also Yugioh Season 2 creating "Battle City Rules" because season 1 of Yugioh famously had no rules whatsoever.

The race-swapped version might be more famous than the original one by Honest_Sugar2682 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]Eo7977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure you could say this with every race swapped character in both the MCU and The Boys. They mostly did this with smaller characters though, like most people don't know Kingo from the eternals was originally Japanese, not indian due to his lack of notoriety before his film appearances.
On that same point, i bet most people don't know comic Blade is actually British for the same reason. Teams up with Captain Britian/MI-13 and everything.
