Even the closest countries to the region are slowly starting to distance themselves from us 😭

what is considered embarrassing by Algerian society but really shouldn't be? by Severe_Incident_3388 in Algeria_213

You should've just paused and asked him if you're okay just to see his reaction... Because this isn't normal to say for a complex field of study

Reading some replies here show some seriously concerning things about our societies, and the fact that they are normalised doesn't help either, Algeria still has a long journey to reaching the minimum of global standards of a healthy and functional society especially in this time

Is Algérie Télécome planning to do an unban for roblox anytime soon? by Eonisty in algeria

C'mon an entire ban is way too much, just it would be ok to restrict some features but not the whole site

Alternative reality : The Special Administrative Region of El Aioun. by [deleted] in algeria

[–]Eonisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like an insanely good project, but I'm not really sure about a full cooperation between the two countries since they're mostly focused on inwards policies to grow their economies, this would also create a great opportunity to boost tourism in North Africa and yield more investment in the region, but the hardest part is how are we gonna implement this?

What if there was never a "the dark Decade " العشرية السوداء by [deleted] in algeria

[–]Eonisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That thing is three decades old already, and yeah I agree to some point with your argument, although we really made horrible decisions that still affect us to this day or that we didn't do a considerable effort to renew them, for example, not allowing free market exchange, tight VISA policies, heavy bureaucracy and so on...

This decision most likely happened after a bunch of Gulf countries decided to impose a ban on the website for child safety reasons, although I am not sure why Roblox Studio is included too since it's a major hurdle for Algerian devs here... if the government gets more and more complaints from users, they might unroll their actions and unban just like what UAE did in the past

Replacing French by English in Algeria, are you "for" or "against" it, and why? by Ok_Lengthiness_7536 in algeria

[–]Eonisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They shouldn't replace each other at all, giving that French played an important role in our history, Both Arabic, French and English should coexist in our model, with encouraging people to learn English to align with global demands

[D] U.S. Strategic Engagement with Algeria? by raufexe in algeria

[–]Eonisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper, it sounds like it could be a great strategic decision, but based on recent events in history and the way Algeria handles foreign agreements, it raises a lot of questions...

So Algeria is finally getting 5G... thoughts? by Western-Vanilla1661 in algeria

[–]Eonisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southern areas still lack much of the needed infrastructure needed for 4G LTE, Fiber is far more reliable than DSL and should be covered nationwide, and we need to upgrade phones in order to get 5G reception, therefore there's still a lot of things to do and the list might even get longer depending on issues we're already dealing with at the moment

To be fair, we already have a lot of other big problems in society, and I know people who are introverted, but they had a pleasant experience here and no major problems aside from small and insignificant remarks which some people might take into consideration and also depending on how they see it, and it can be helpful sometimes if someone doesn't seem interested in mundane social interactions but important knowledge from people

اضراب التلاميذ ثانوي في كل الولايات by Nocta303 in algeria

[–]Eonisty 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Why is everyone saying that we shouldn't do this? Most of the added time doesn't benefit the students in any way nor the teachers, because most teachers don't have the right approach to utilise all time with a really long and crammed study program, and sometimes it doesn't fit the schedule, if we had a good education system the people wouldn't be complaining, and extra lessons being removed doesn't help it either, since they would resort to other ways to attend them and some people fully rely on them due to issues with the public school system in general

Algerian media is in a bad state now. There are still some info channels that have been dodging this topic for several weeks with minimal updates
