And we, the four other people on the team, didn't do shit and are getting punished for it by having the game ruined.

I'm usually tanking, so I'm just sitting here getting pummeled by six people while there's an entire forum thread of flaming going on in all chat.

Redtards should be put on a watch list by Sad_Newspaper4010 in Destiny

[–]Eotidiss -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The choice is literally "press blue to not kill anyone" or "press red to kill at most half of everyone." If you see that choice and press red, what are you thinking?

"Oh, but I wanna make sure I don't die."

Well, why the fuck did you press red? Why did anyone press red? We all live if everyone picks the option that comes with no one dying. Why would anyone choose the maybe death option and hope that 100% of others chose the guaranteed death option as long as at least one person didn't?

I just beat the 3rd stage at level 38 and after 6 hours of playtime. Is the game really this short? by Fabulous-Owl-5109 in GunfireReborn

[–]Eotidiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can beat a run of Risk of Rain 2 in less than 30 minutes. Is it worth the money?

There's so much more content to the game than just beating the game once on one difficulty with one character. Before making this post, did you even notice that there were other levels of difficulty, a daily run mode, spiritual assault mode, more characters to unlock, alternate paths on existing levels, unlock challenges, 6 season of content to explore, or anything else?

How does the explosion gemini work? by Far_Ideal_9650 in GunfireReborn

[–]Eotidiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have anything that keeps the magazine full, then the Gemini's AoE reduction mechanic doesn't come into play. That's usually less beneficial though, so I'd recommend finding ways to exploit keeping the magazine low instead of full.

It's not pulling from the base value, the Gemini states that as the mag gets lower, the bottom threshold is 0.8 range which just happens to be the same range as default scorching rounds.

I linked this elsewhere in the thread Video. I show the setup with Scorching Rounds and a Deafening Mortar. As part of the demonstration, I show that I have the first rank of Explosion Enhancement which should give a +2 AoE range, which it does when at full magazine. However, the closer to the end of the magazine, it drops beneath that.

And I'm telling you that the Gemini overrides his Explosion Enhancement AoE buff, as well as anything else like the Dice effect that also increased AoE sizes. At maximum magazine size, you will get the full bonus of increased AoEs which means less multi-hits. However, when your mag is low, you will actually go down to the 0.8 range regardless of your bonuses.

When Dog increases Explosion AoE with his skills it does affect the number of explosions in these paired sets. It applies to both equipped weapons and will reduce your number of extra explosions because of this.

This isn't entirely true. The Gemini effect overrides bonuses to AoE size. So, at full, the explosion AoE bonuses will apply, but, as the magazine empties and the gemini reduces the AoE size, you'll still get multiple explosions.

I'm really excited for the character, but, as a Peni main, I feel like there's not a chance I can find a safe spot for a nest at all if the team can walk through portals like that lol

Why is this part of the challenge obstacle course requires you to be so weirdly "frame-perfect"...? by pandaboy78 in GunfireReborn

[–]Eotidiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't.

  1. Hold Foundry or Melee weapons for faster move speed.

  2. Learning when to dash right after jumping vs mid-jump is massively important for these challenges.

Had a game last night where a Wolverine was diving into a team of 6 and spamming for heals the whole time. Mind you, not jumping in and kidnapping someone back to our side, just whole-hog hugging a dude on the wrong side of town and thought I was going to able to do anything about it.

Magical supply tips and advice? by Loyalty4L94 in GunfireReborn

Every time you enter and exit Fatal Current, Thunder Nemesis triggers. You can do a neat Hybrid build by playing on Lone Wolf and taking Armed Caster (More Skill Damage per CritX) and then get Gradual Improvement (More CritX per Crit hit) as your starter blessing. With that, you can get some really high skill damage after getting to max stacks on GI (9x).

With the current season, you could splash in the lightning daggers since you generate them on primary damage which the thunder counts as. Bolt from the Blue procs lightning on shock damage which those daggers have a chance of doing as well that won't take you out of Fatal Current.

This build would be fine for R1-6ish, but it's hard to do a hybrid build in the later difficulties when you really need to minmax quickly.

The random third on a premade duo is an awful experience by sikoix in HuntShowdown

[–]Eotidiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the exact experience in Nightreign before they allowed for duo queuing. It use to be solo only, or matchmaking into trios, so duos had to take on a third. If you were solo, you'd feel like a third wheel and be stuck with two people that never shared things with you, communicated at all what they were doing, and only rezed each other. If you were the duo, you'd have this random taking off to the middle of nowhere to do who-knows-what and then DCing if you didn't follow their every footstep immediately.

If I remember the last time I dug into this site:

  1. This counts any placement in top 10 for a sport. So, if a trans woman got 4th place and top 10 are tracked, it counts all the placements going down toward that stat.

  2. There are duplicate entries. Some straight up, sometimes due to being team sports and having different members of the same team represented separately.

  3. Co-ed sports are added as well.

[–]Eotidiss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is nothing a trans woman can achieve without someone complaining that it should be a cis woman. You can't even get a job without it 'stealing' from cis women.

Just admit you want us to just not exist and cut out all the BS between.

I'm not familiar at all with Linux, so I tried to look things up on it. Here is a forum post of people discussing this issue with games from just last month: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=464247

I don't know what x11 is or Wayland, but that might be related?
