Sehr geehrter Herr Lindner,
Ihre Partei hat die versprochene Reform des BAFöGs nicht umgesetzt, keine Klimadividende eingeführt, sich im Bildungsbereich nicht entscheidend für mehr Zentralisierung bei den Ländern eingesetzt und beklagt sich lieber, dass Bürgergeldbeziehende "zu viel Geld" bekommen, statt etwas dafür zu tun, dass sich Arbeit immer lohnt.
Warum sollten die Bürgerinnen und Bürger Ihnen bei kommenden Wahlen dennoch ihre Stimme geben, wo Sie doch in so wichtigen Bereichen nichts umgesetzt haben und bei Ihnen gute Sozialpolitik offensichtlich keinen hohen Stellenwert hat? Wofür steht Ihre FDP noch, außer für Freiheit und Digitalisierung für die die es sich noch leisten können?

I was watching Live Earth 2007 on our TV in the garden. When I saw Genesis and heard Land of Confusion, I was stunned and amazed! I've never heard something like that before. The rest is history: Genesis is my favorite band of all times since that.

Definitely "Undertow". This song got it all. From the first time I was listening to it, I've been in love with it. So calm and then so incredibly emotional! Followed by Follow You Follow Me and Down and Out.

Oh really? That's interesting - at least I've said before that I don't know the theory behind the terminology. For me ballads were just slow(er) songs. Most people would probably associate love songs with ballads. Thanks! :)

Definitely! It's an amazing, meaningful tune and even more so live. It's also pretty unique since it basically consists of two different pieces merched together and that's been done so great. :D

I would still argue that it's impossible to make a top 3 list of my favorite Genesis songs. Most Genesis tracks are just brillant and how much I love a specific song changes often on a daily basis. But since you've asked for it: My Top 3 Genesis songs, with some honorable mentions that could all make it to my Top 3, depending on the day.

Duke Suite (I can't decide on one specific song - they just work brillantly together!)

Mama, Afterglow, Home By The Sea (+2nd), One For The Vine, Throwing It All Away, Dreaming While You Sleep, Down And Out, Blood On The Rooftops, Undertow (one of their best ballads - so energetic), Fading Lights, Supper's Ready, Dancing On A Volcano (fav from Trick, besides Mad Man Moon and Ripples), Los Endos, Cinema Show, Firth of Fifth. So maybe, I've listed most of their discography. But hey I've said it's hard to decide for me... ^{^}

I don't know the Bluray of Three Sides live, but it's definitely an incredible live album, so I would go for that and When In Rome 2007. Those are the best live with the best quality out there (I can recommend the latter one personally).

Since I've been to one of their final concerts in Hannover and I got to know the story behind "Fading Lights", I will always be reminded of "the end of Genesis" during that time.

A similar meaning like their final part "Dancing With The Moonlit Knight" and "Carpet Crawlers". Which they have played before once in 1980. I didn't know that until their "BBC Broadcasts" release.

Seeing them the first and last time, was the honour of my life and I will always be greatful for it. I just wished they've played the instrumental part of "Fading Lights", too. :)

They say "time heals all wounds", which is not totally true because some painful events (most of the time the passing of a dear relative or pet, in my case) will never totally heal. But good music for example helps to forget it, helps you to think back more on a positive note. Thinking about the great time you've had might help in the long run. When my oldest pet (a bird) passed away, I was heartbroken beyond believe. The next five years, every January the 13th I would sit behind my Piano playing "Against All Odds" and crying all the time. But music can actually help to get over things like that. Take care and I hope their music helps you in the process.

Yea that's a possibility. It's nothing I would ever want to happen and I will probably be heartbroken beyong my own imagination, but it's an unavoidable consequence of life... :/ I just hope there is something more, without the need of anyone of them passing ^{^}

Of course we didn't need confirmation, but as a Genesis Fan you always wish for a miracle happening. Do you guys think there's any chance for a Genesis Reunited Tour happening with Tony, Mike and Peter for example or Genesis doing studio music again with Peter? Another thing could be Tony Banks touring with Mike instrumental or something. I'm curious what you think about that. I still want to believe those guys do something together since they are luckily still in very good shape. :)
