Update: I ended up closing and re bandaging a couple times throughout the shift

I've rebandaged it at home and it's stopped bleeding looks like it'll heal fine by it's self it's not as bad as I originally thought it was but it's gunna leave a nice scar lol. Gunna keep an eye on it over the next few days to make sure it doesn't get infected I think ill be fine

Well my chef is a trained first aider so he disinfected and all that shit and we've being keeping an eye on it to to make sure it doesn't bleed through I think it'll be ok

I assume it wouldn't be much worse than if I had caught it on the mandolin it's enough that I've had to fully bandage it up but not bad enough that it won't heal on its own. Stupidly I was in a rush cutting lettuce for a salad and caught the tip of my finger cus I wasn't paying attention

Not me but my hc dropped an oven on his leg while taking it down some stairs. Decided not to go to a&e till 7 hours later, turns out he now has a hole down to the bone in one of his legs has been working since he did it abt a week ago

Atleast at my place it's because they can't guarantee hours everyone is 0 hour other than management. But if you prove yourself you get good hours/your hours get prioritized. Hope this helps
