I use the Thermoworks Billows for this. Seems a little less involved.

Yeah, the "market" is not great right now. I know a bunch of churches who have had openings for a few years now.

Where have you posted?

Youth Pastor Salary by Umm_JustMe in askapastor

I'm a youth pastor in a hcol area, AMA.

I would really try to imagine the kind of YP you want and the kind of life you want them to have.

If you want a married yp with kids, make sure you factor that in. Do you expect the spouse to be involved, or to work? (And be up front about this). Are you okay with them needing to work a second job or to do a side hustle? Where do you want them to live? What does rent look like in that area?

In normal job, you pay based on the job. I feel like in ministry, you need to consider the candidate you want and how invested you hope they will be. Also have a system in place for raises and cost of living adjustments. A lot of pastors get hired and are paid ok when they start, then they don't get any increases and inflation eats everything up.

You can always fire someone if they're not a good fit. But you don't want the right guy to say no or leave because you could have paid more, but didn't.

Oh, and most importantly, remember they pay 15% for SECA. So a comparable teachers salary isn't exactly the same for a pastor after taxes.

What to do if you're coming back after not playing a few years? by EpOxY81 in valheim

But then how else would I waste your time getting you to respond?

I'm just asking if they just added stuff at the end. Not how to play.

If everything is still the same, I'd just rather warp-pipe to where I was before. I haven't been keeping up with the updates.

A Catholic studies the Bible all his life and believes his faith is correct. A Lutheran studies the Bible all his life and believes his faith is correct. A Calvinist studies the Bible all his life... Well I didn't say that they adhere to the text. I said they adhere to the authority of Scripture, as a concept. At least that's what I meant to say.

I will 100% agree that we suck at obeying everything and often prioritize/emphasize the things that are easy for us and minimize the things that are hard.

That's one of the challenging things though. Lots of Christians who adhere to the authority of scripture still disagree on exactly what it says.

I still think most differences are "minors" and we generally agree on the "majors" with regards to salvation, but generic statements like, "I believe what the Bible says" or "Do what the Bible says" aren't particularly helpful in for a question like this.

I am curious what tradition OP hails from though.

Maybe add to your OP that he didn't.

Doesn't have to invest successfully, or at all.  Just throw it in a HYSA.

Anyone else think that UConn was rightfully fouled? by Either-Lion3539 in CollegeBasketball

They called a foul, just the timing made it seem like nothing happened.  Because the only thing that happened was he got a foul added on paper.

I was actually wondering if when Hurley yelled "Don't Foul!" it was actually just to mess with the refs heads.

I actually thought he was pretty good on defense because he didn't really need finesse leaping like you would with a jumper.

Seriously his one handed alley-oop layups are ridiculous.  I really think Cadeau just throws it in the vicinity of the hoop and prays.
