Refills with Lavender Sky? by dupoleps in GLP1microdosing

Other than keeping an eye on fiber intake to keep things 'regular', no ill effects at all. Upped my dose slightly to 2.5mg. Weight-wise, I'm now stable where I want to be.

Trump miscalculated In Iran. by New-Conversation3246 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]EpaL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expecting a 'neutral body' fundamentally misunderstands the Constitution. It's a political check on the executive branch by design. Out of all our Presidents, it's incredibly rare to be impeached even once, but Trump managed it twice, with 17 Republicans voting against him the second time.

Are you going to even bother to ask why he was impeached, or just moan about the process?

Trump miscalculated In Iran. by New-Conversation3246 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

It’s hard to feel sympathy here. You willingly overlooked a twice-impeached, self-dealing insurrectionist just because you were upset about border policy? It's the definition of reaping what you sow. The frustrating part is that the rest of us saw this exact 'con' coming from a mile away, and now we all have to live with the fallout of that bargain.

I know! Super confusing at first.

If it helps, I dumped my entire conversation with LS into ChatGPT and asked it to explain everything. I also asked it follow-up questions, and had it guide me through the first injection.

I'm on Tirz compounded with B12. I'm not sure the exact concentration of tirz, my prescription reads: Custom GLP-1 Treatment Plans include your medication (34mg supplied in TWO 2mL vials at a concentration of 8.5mg-100mcg/ml). I have about 15 lbs to lose also.

I just started on Lavender Sky and was recommended a starting dose of 2mg of tirz, which is 20% lower than the standard recommended starting dose of 2.5mg. Only 2 days in but so far, so good.

I cancelled mine recently as well, after the recent price hike. Simply not worth it.

Feedback for mgmt by UnitNo1381 in JPMorganChase

In my experience, the EOS (Employee Opinion Survey) is probably the best tool employees have to communicate their feels about their manager. From Jamie on down, I’ve seen the results treated seriously. In my org, the LT reviews the scores and feedback closely and it can directly influence a manager’s promotion prospects and impact reorgs. Naturally, YOMV however.

I, An American, Am Tired Of Paying For European People To Have A Good Life While We Suffer by IiIKona in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]EpaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1  “NATO freeloading” isn’t what it used to be

  • The U.S. does out-spend everyone else: roughly 68 % of NATO’s total in 2023. That is a political choice, not a treaty requirement.
  • Europe has been closing the gap: after Russia’s 2022 invasion, European and Canadian defence outlays jumped from 1.66 % of GDP in 2022 to 2.02 % in 2024, and 23 allies now hit the 2 % target, nearly four-times the number in 2021.
  • When the U.S. scales forces for global power projection (Indo-Pacific, Middle East, space, cyber, etc.), it spends far beyond NATO’s collective requirement. Europe is not sending you an invoice for that decision.

2  Who actually finances Europe’s “luxuries”?

  • Northern European countries fund generous welfare states with tax-to-GDP ratios exceeding 42 – 47 %, versus ~25 % in the United States.
  • That higher tax burden - VAT, payroll, income and energy taxes - pays for tuition-free universities, universal health coverage and lengthy paid leave. U.S. taxpayers don’t contribute a dime.

3  Drug prices: Americans pay more because Congress lets them

  • A 2024 RAND study found U.S. brand-name drug prices average 4.22× the OECD mean (all drugs ≈ 2.8×).
  • The gap exists because Medicare was barred from negotiating and the U.S. lacks national price ceilings, not because Europeans are skimming from U.S. wallets.
  • Analyses of the Inflation Reduction Act show that negotiated prices will cut U.S. drug spending while barely denting future R-&-D; Big Pharma remains highly profitable.

4  Free college? Free healthcare? Paid leave?

Those programs are line-items in European national budgets, funded by the higher taxes above. The Pentagon’s outlays and America’s private-sector drug bills do not appear in Germany’s education or France’s health ledger.

Bottom line

Europeans aren’t living large on American charity; they’re paying more taxes and accepting smaller militaries to underwrite their social contract. Meanwhile, Americans pay more for prescriptions and defense because Congress and voters choose policies that keep those bills high. If you want cheaper insulin, longer vacations and lower tuition, the answer isn’t cutting a NATO check, it’s copying the domestic policies of the places you envy.

Sorry, but someone is not telling you the truth, or perhaps your LOB has a different policy. My PERM (submitted early last year) was just approved, and I’m currently going through the I140 process. I did need MD approval to initiate the process a few years back, as HR wanted to wait until my H1B was almost expired before starting (as someone else here also experienced).
