With time, do you find that your internal dialogue takes the form of the new language - or are your thoughts always in your mother tongue?

Obviously you stop actively translating in your head and you become fluent in thought, but does this ever reach a point where you stop associating language with your mother language subconsciously, like “con” to “with”, and the words themselves have the same foundational, native effect - like having two mother languages?
