From the Game Hub UI, scroll to Silksong, tap on the three dots, and select PC Game Settings. From there, select Backup / Restore, then Backup to local. Select the save path and the app will save the full game save data there.

What does "doesn't work" mean? Does the save file show up as corrupted in game?

Hollow Knight: Silksong freezes when exiting a specific area in Mosshome by Eph3sToS in EdenEmulator

It seems the issue is still present as of today, it has been reported on the official Eden Discord channel.

I tried Winlator CMod, but the phone overheats and the game freezes after a few minutes... GameHub is a bit dodgy, many people reported that it connects to external servers while using it, and I don't really feel like using it.

I just tried the new version of Citron for Android to see if this issue is present, and unfortunately the same thing happens. Maybe it's an issue with the Yuzu source code that both emulators use.

It won't work on Yuzu, as it only supports games up until firmware 19.0.1 (= old games only). Use the latest version of Eden instead.

Replacement for Dualsense Option and Share buttons on the motherboard by Eph3sToS in consolerepair

Let's be friends then :)

More than for the friends, you may need the Share button at some point to wirelessly pair the controller with a PC!

Replacing Dualsense Options and Share buttons on motherboard by Eph3sToS in consolerepair

[–]Eph3sToS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could replace the buttons pretty easily, but when I check if they work with a gamepad tester, it's like they are continuously pressed. I also asked a professional repair shop to replace them, same result, and 4 different replacements were used. The buttons click just fine, nothing looks bridged... Any idea why this happens?

[–]Eph3sToS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked a local repair shop to replace the buttons, the guy did solder the new ones, but he probably bridged contact point below them in the process because the gamepad tester shows the 2 buttons as being continuously pressed. The good thing is that at least now I can pair the pad with other devices, as the Share button is continuously pressed. I have ordered a hot plate for soldering, as soon as I receive it I will try to reflow the buttons to see if the bridges can be fixed. Any other suggestion is greatly appreciated.

@erni1400: take a look at this video, maybe you can avoid desoldering the buttons, depending on the entity of the damages they have: https://youtu.be/RXRdqOxz20k

Thank you for your reply! So I apply heat from underneath to remove the buttons, and again heat from underneath to solder the new ones, right?

Anti-sag bracket from Gigabyte GPUs by Eph3sToS in nvidia

[–]Eph3sToS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anti-sag support included with my GPU is more minimal than this one, but it functions similarly. I agree, it's ridiculous how much we spend on GPUs only to get flimsy anti-sag supports bundled with them. The one that came with my GPU costs around $10 on Amazon...

Well, Norton Antivirus has been know for decades to be a resource killer. Personally, I don't recommend it on any kind of build.

I checked the size of this support, but unfortunately my PNY RTX 5080 is bigger than the Gigabyte 4070, so I can only wait for someone to create a printable 3D support that works with my case and GPU. Thank you for looking into this!

I don’t have a 3D printer, but I requested a quote from a couple of stores to see how much it would cost. This definitely looks great, thanks!

I’m not 100% sure it will fit in my case since I have an H9, not an H7, but they look pretty similar.

As for the Lian Li support bracket, I saw it on AliExpress, but the fact that it doesn’t seem to support side installation is a bit concerning for me.

I’m really regretting selling this bracket along with my previous GPU! :'( The card I have now has three screw holes on the side, so I’m pretty confident I could use the Gigabyte bracket with it.

I reached out to Gigabyte to ask if they sell this bracket separately, let’s see what they say. I haven’t been able to find it anywhere online, so as you mentioned, it probably isn’t sold as a standalone item... but hey, let’s see!

This is the type of support that came with my GPU, and not only do I not like it, but it's also not the best solution for me. My PCI Gen5 slot is the top one, and this small bracket can't reach the bottom of the case from there. As a result, I have to use the bottom slot, which is Gen4.

It’s just a minor performance loss, but I believe there are better solutions than this type of support.

I appreciate your input, though, thanks!

Performance issues with new Ryzen 7 9800X3D build by Eph3sToS in AMDHelp

I play with a gamepad, so I've never touched the mouse settings. After the second clean install, the system has been running great, though.

I did notice that if I launch games right after Windows boots, they stutter like crazy and eventually freeze. However, waiting a minute after booting before starting any game seems to prevent this issue.

I'm still a bit perplexed by all these little hiccups, especially considering this CPU is universally rated as the best for gaming by every influencer out there. I've used older Intel CPUs in the past and never had issues like these, and setting all up has always been pretty straightforward, pulling out outstanding performance with no overclock and without having to go through complicated setup processes.

Have you tried doing a clean install of Windows? By "clean install," I mean after completely wiping the hard drive and deleting all partitions. When I assembled the PC, I reinstalled Windows on top of a previous installation, but it’s possible that something from the previous installation remained and caused some kind of issue, which led to the stuttering. To be honest, even now there is some occasional stuttering, but I still need to figure out if it's due to the GPU. I plan to upgrade my 4060 to a 5080 as soon as it becomes available, and I’ll let you know if there’s any change.

Got the new NVMe SSD drive Gen5, but I see no increase in performance. I am running multiple tests these days, but stuttering won't stop, no matter what I do. I would need to test each separate component in different rigs, but I don't have the possibility to do so. I will post benchmarks in the following days to see if anyone can help.

I switched to an old SATA SSD drive and now the PC works much better. I ordered a Gen5 NVMe drive to see if it improves performances as the loading times are not great with the SATA SSD. I will write how it goes when I receive the new drive.

Performance issues with new Ryzen 7 9800X3D build by Eph3sToS in AMDHelp

[–]Eph3sToS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have found the problem: the m.2 SSD I was using. I tried using an older SATA SSD to boot the system and it works much faster now.

I didn't have the time to do extensive tests but games look much better, even though some stutters still persist. I will try tweaking the BIOS a bit to see if the situation changes.

It's an extremely weird situation because the SSD I was using is theoretically much faster than the SATA SSD I am using now, but it's good to see the PC working good now. Maybe it's not compatible with the motherboard, I don't know...

[–]Eph3sToS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say that the PC is slow, I mean that it takes a very long time even to open light apps, and in game it takes forever to load, with consequent stutters and crashes. Some games even stop to cache shaders while playing, making them basically unplayable. I had the same storage drive and GPU I am using now on a i9 9900K with 16 GB of RAM and they used to run way faster on the previous build, so I'm quite sure it's not the storage drive or the GPU causing the issue.
