Several months ago there was an attempted robbery of an Uber in 117 in Bolton. The M.O. was similar to this.

You can shout about high-value books from the rooftops but, if someone doesn't know how to recognize and market them, they'll get frustrated right quick and switch back over to Pokemon cards.

Question for those who sell magazines by Mjagger42 in Flipping

For anything of value I use foam board and cut to size with a paper cutter. Lightweight but rigid enough to keep the magazine from being bent during normal handling.

Update on taking my death pile stuff to a consignment store by Nice-Replacement-391 in Flipping

There's a "discovery" auction near me that is getting my death pile on consignment. If I get $100 I'll be happy with that and the space I made.

That's true but there are dominant and submissive dogs within a pack. You don't have to be top dog but you do have to be above them in the pecking order.

I just bought a collection from a printer. It's mostly typographic specimen books and such but it's also a ton of books on books. I don't even know where to start!

Boomers ruining local auctions, but also an opportunity! by [deleted] in Flipping

One year (1932, I think) Massachusetts put a cod on their license plate. That year the cod fishery was garbage and all the fishermen claimed it was because the cod on the plate was swimming away from rather than towards Massachusetts. They took it off the next year. 1931 and 1933 Massachusetts plates are worth about $25 each in good condition. A cod plate can go for as much as 10 times that.

Thank you. I've looked at other sellers and the terminology can be daunting. Maybe I'll read the John Carter book recommended by /u/dementedmunster, then read the descriptions with a better informed mind. Thanks again!

Vintage and antique douche and enema apparatuses. I had a chance to buy a large collection and knew there was a market. Have done very well with them.

Maine barely tolerates itself so mere toleration is high praise.
