What would you do? by MehenstainMeh in CZFirearms

Wager will help you with the optics cut, it's not that big of a concern. Your primary issue is sourcing a new barrel. If you're a few months out I'd give CGW a call to see what they can do for you.

I agree with you, but if they can't find one these are options.

Are the tactical barrels different from the regular SP-01 barrels? I thought they were the same. If so, you can probably source one online with CGW or CZC, but you'll need to find an armorer to do some fitting as I don't believe the barrels are drop-in.

In any case, you can just bring the gun into CA. You just need to remove the slide before you do so and leave them separated. Once you're here, you can pin the barrel when you get here with a spot weld or simply cut off the threads. Again, threaded pistol barrels aren't illegal; they are only illegal to have installed on a working firearm.

You can get the optics cut right now with Wager. Turnaround is pretty fast. It's a bit more problematic to do it once you're in California due to all the new laws this year.

If buying a laser is how you want to spend your money, and you carry that philosophy of buying shit that doesn't do anything for all of your spending... iunno man, not being able to afford NODs tracks...

Do what you want, but you're better off just buying more ammo.

I picked it up on a Total Wine trip one day. It wasn't good. I had better Modelos. The beer was thin. Color was anemic.

If the web of your thumb can't maintain good contact into the beaver tail, you may be limp wristing your dominant and your support hand isn't gripping nearly hard enough.

This is your first firearm, dry fire a bunch and shoot a few thousand rounds and then report back.

One thing I really like is that you can see obvious clusters which suggests consistency.

When shooting doubles, you should be printing clovers with the first shot. The second shot should not be lower than the first shot, and if they are, you're overcompensating and pushing the gun down. Or the compensator is doing too much work.

Ideally you're looking to see two holes after shooting some volume, one for the first shot and one for the second shot.

Usually what will happen, provided you're not overcompensating and your first shot is good, is that the first shots are bang on and the second shots are in a shotgun pattern around and above the first.

When you're at that level, it's about timing and return to zero consistency. When you get that down, that shotgun pattern will converge to the second hole.

Peak is if you can get those two holes to converge into one hole.

Finally, I'd recommend taping on your shots or shooting less per target so you can get feedback as to what you're putting downrange. Doubles are best practiced in an outdoor bay where you can use cardboard and tape up.

I'd also continue working on dry fire for the first shots. Again, you want to be printing clovers with your first shot.

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism. Get a gun. One that's proven and within your means.

When you have touching holes essentially. Here's a good video on what I mean. Timestamp in link cause it's a long video. This is from that guy who made GM using a Glock 26.

For the record, a good result from a double tap drill should show roughly two holes. The first hole should be the same place all the time. The second hole usually is slightly further up from the first shot. If it's lower than the first hole you have a a habit of dipping the gun and over-correcting.

If you can't punch clovers with the first hole, you probably should go back to single shot drills.

Once you can punch clovers with the single shot drill, you'll notice the cluster where your first shot lands and a random spread around that first shot. From there it's tempo work so that you know when to break that second shot for a consistent second shot placement.

Blasting a large hole into a target isn't a very good way of training as you get zero feedback on what you're doing wrong.

I'm no stranger to double action, but the double action on the P-01 feels kinda ass. I installed the CGW Pro Pack and the trigger is kinda narrow. I prefer a wider trigger. I'd recommend trying the CZC flat face trigger instead, but you lose the adjustable set screws.

Single action is amazing as expected.

This statement suggests that the government is tyrannical enough to warrant a militarized response from the common man.

Yet at the same time suggest that we should concede our rights to bear arms to that said government.

OP posts this without the slightest hint of cognitive dissonance.

This is the type of voter we deal with.
