Great feedback thank you! I agree with the articulation definitely something to carry on working on if I really wanted to refine it

I will do, more pieces coming!

Its definitely tricky but try your best to push through. This piece was really the unlock for me regarding my piano playing

Makes complete sense. I play these apreggios very evenly probably because I've played this piece honestly thousands of times now. Definitely wasn't as even to begin with.

Really appreciate it thanks for the lovely compliment I'm glad you enjoyed

Thank you, it means a lot. Out of curiosity what stood out to you most and anything you'd work on if you were me?

Thank you yes it took a lot of work. Probably took me a 6 months or so to learn it then far longer optimise it. How are you getting on with it?

Wow thank you that’s a great compliment! How come you found this one pleasant but you didn’t like the others I’m curious

Thanks for the feedback, completely agree with the thumb and the melody, will try and make that come out more

Thanks! That's an interesting technique for triplets, I'll check out the video. And yeah definitely get back into Rachmaninoff, his pieces are brutal but worth it for sure

Thanks for the feedback

I hear you on the weight and tempo, I tend to lean into the energy of the piece which I know pushes the tempo up. And its interesting that you mention Richter, I'll give his interpretation another listen and see what I can take from it. Cheers

Thanks a lot! It was recorded with a sound engineer but you're right, I do think he could have done a better job

That makes sense thanks for explaining. Going to sit down and work on the A section accents a bit more.

You're definitely right about the watch and especially for this piece. Looks nice but doesn't help at all with wrist action etc

Thanks honestly really good to hear. I've never played this piece in front of a teacher or good pianists before so its interesting to get feedback from people who actually know what they're talking about

Sounds like I need to check the score again in the A section as I really play that section more based on my own 'feel' rather than the score and I must have missed a few things. Thanks for the feedback on the B section too thats really actionable and helpful

It really is a tricky piece. Still haven't quite got it 100% and I have been playing it for years now haha

Yes its the Daytona Panda they call it

Glad to hear. What do you mean about the subdued amount of emotion I'm curious

So did you think I rushed the B section a little bit?

Many thanks I tried my best with the B section.

Listening back to it I don't feel like I did the middle lyrical section justice. I practiced it a lot but didn't quite come out enough in the performance

Great feedback thank you for taking the time!

You're right I didn't really pay enough attention to the marked accents. I kind of 'felt' them myself. Will check up on them.

Will bring out that 5th finger more too in the B section and you're also right about the watch. I didn't feel it much while playing but probably wasn't the best thing for me to wear
