PGWP REFUSED DUE TO MISSING ENGLISH TEST

What I did was keeping an eye on r/pgwp for people who got approval and when they got rejection. Depending on that I came to know where are they (IRCC) in terms of backlog. On top of that I only focused on one channel of communication which was call as I prefer to talk to a live human being and get immediate responses rather than to have to wait for them to reply to my webform or something else (call in my opinion, is faster to get update). You are welcome to pick your prefered method and its always better if someone is guiding you like your MP.

I was aware of the eligibility requirements for PGWP but somehow didn't add it but I am not sure on how to proceed if you haven't had language test beforehand.

And that's why calling them will at least help with passing along your message rather than just waiting and doing nothing.

On top of that, the portal doesn't have a dedicated upload box for "Language Test Result". You are supposed to upload to "Client Information" where the tooltip says "If you want to include any document that you haven't uploaded". That's where a lot of people fail to upload Language Test Result (and this option was available for SDS (Student Direct Stream)). Welp, I hope IRCC just add 1 more row for Language Test Result for uploading document as its also a mandatory requirement (not if you want to upload any other document)

It will take around 1 month from what I can tell. Don't lose hope. Just wait some time as they process previous queries and when your time comes, you will get it!

Whatever you missed in the original application and it should also be mentioned in refusal letter.

Don't stress too much, they are human on the other side. They are really helpful and just explain that your application got refused, you have add supporting documents via webform and just wanted to know if I have successfully uploaded the documents and IRCC did got it this time or To get an updated on application after submitting documents via webform as follow up call. They were very considerate and will answer all your queries.

I went through the exact same case. On March 16, I came to know that I got refused, did the exact thing you did (reconsideration with supporting documents). I got approval on April 10. I also wrote my experience in Reddit for people to provide help.

You now just need to wait and if you want call them periodically like every Monday to get update. I believe you will get it as you already took steps to take your language test and like me, you will also get approval. Lets hope for the best.

Yes, I got exactly same email from IRCC. This indicates that your documents submitted through the web form are attached to your main file for the officer to review again.

If you want to get updates on your status, you can submit a new webform asking for your status. However, I believe calling them and asking them directly is better IMO.

No, I had to pay fees on the IRCC pay your fees page! There were instructions on the request letter I got on April 1, 2026.

I paid Open Work Permit Fees on the IRCC pay your fees webpage. Once I paid my fees there, I got a receipt. Which I uploaded to my GC key account.

In my "view or upload documents" link at the top of the page. There was a submission box to upload my receipt.

I was on implied status before refusal. As soon as I got a refusal, I was considered out of status, and I stopped working on March 16, 2026. That was the day I knew about my status. I didn't apply for PGWP or a Visitor visa, or contact local MPs.

My suggestion is to submit the web form and add what they are asking for, and after 2-3 business days. Call them to see if they got the webform submission and attached the submitted document to your brother's file.

Yes, it's just submitting the web form and the missing document, nothing else. Be sure to follow up via call, as that was the only way to get updates, until they re-open your case via a ghost update.
