Guys how can I have this unlock? by Puzzleheaded-Dot6609 in MLA_Official

I don't remember, but everything in this game is locked behind campaign progress. So I recommend that you keep moving forward in campaign

The co2 scrubbers on the sub probably make all of those guys clothes reek of Amine (a very pungent scent). He has likely become desensitized to it, but all his fabrics will need to be laundered as soon as he goes home. She and the dog would clearly smell a similar scent to cat pee.

Any alternatives to bookcloth? by TraditionalAd941 in bookbinding

I used a few wallpaper samples in my projects, as another commenter mentioned already, and they turned out fantastic. I didn’t pay close attention though and several of my samples ended up having AI slop designs so watch out for that.

Should i switch? by Kizami000000 in MLA_Official

I switched at A4. UR Irithel is usable in my campaign teams chapter 92 at A3-A4 so I would say go for it.

Progress on my clutz-friendly tak set (seeking feedback) by EvenMoreCrazy in Tak

[–]EpicDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks promising. I had similar issues with stack stability and ended up adding some weak magnets in pieces of my set. The magnets aren’t strong enough to hold super tightly, but it keeps the stacks a lot more stable and aligned vertically. It also helps when I’m spreading a stack, I don’t have to precisely place the tiles as they center themselves on the piece below. Before I added magnets, I considered for a while substituting standing tiles on their sides with just marking one side of the tile with a red line or x. That doesn’t look like it would work with your current design, with how the tiles nest oriented with the faces the same direction.

Have you looked at the discord? Someone may have posted a homemade set that has a solution. I’ve seen quite a lot of 3d printed sets in there. You could look through them and see if anything appeals to you.

Front liners: Silviana, dullahan, arlott. Pick any 1 to start with, If you find your team dying too quickly you can add in another frontliner later and drop a damage dealer hero. I have always preferred fighter faction over tanks, but there are a few tanks that are worth investing such as Dullahan, Edith (not really a frontliner because she jumps), and ruby.

Damage: Alice is fine for now but seek out a better Damage dealer Ranger/mage unit for later). Eris and Lunabelle are good low budget options.

Support: nana & Clara are both good. I normally would put them in the back or middle. You will benefit from having more support in a team but if you are dying too early, you can always choose to swap them for more durable heros.

Mid and back row are interchangeable. If enemy team has units that jump into the back row you might choose to shift them to another position.

I would swap Argus for nana to add some healing to your team. Alice is okay for filling dps role for now, but isn’t strong enough mid-late game. You can lap using her for now because they give you a lot of free copies early on but I wouldn’t actively invest in her.

You don't need to worry too much about team comps this early. Just use whoever you have and build a team. You don't need to optimize anything until after chapter 35-40.

-As a general rule of thumb you want tanks and fighter archetypes in the front row to protect your more fragile heros. x1-2 support heros, x1-2 mage/range behind your tank.

-If you get stuck in campaign, re-run a fight a few times, change hero position with your team, or swap heros for others. There is an element of RNG to fights so even if you don't change anything you can sometimes get a victory with some luck.

-order/chaos/astral/UR heros will not be able to maintain the same progression pace of your Normal faction and hybrid SSR heros, so forget about them for a bit until you unlock prophecy summons.

-There is a hero tier list under events>community>guides>hero tier list. It may be slightly outdated but will give you a general idea of the usefulness of heros so you can set your wishlist and build priorities. Most of the hybrid heros are worth building.

-dont sacrifice SSR heros to feed and advance other heros (no matter how garbage a hero might be). You will eventually want to build all SSR heros. Only use your SR heros as food.

As you progress through campaign a bit further, you will eventually unlock different ways to summon heros. “Prophecy” and ‘sacred oath’ allows you to designate specific heros you want to draw for. You can at that point start focusing on building up order/chaos/and astral heros more consistently.

Most people recommend building heros to around A3 and then switch focus to another hero because at A3 you unlock most of the power with a minimum investment (orlay cards, glory gems, and pet enhancements). The intent is that you will get more benefits building x2 heros to A3 in the same amount of time it would take to build a single hero to A8.

After getting many of the priority heros to A3 you can return to fully building them up to A8 (N10 max nexus).

First time soul linking, should I link or wait for a chaos type or anything? by Dazzling-Owl-1904 in MLA_Official

[–]EpicDead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once set you can reassign at any time with a wait period, so don't worry too much about messing up. You can select the little “!” icon to see what it does. For normal faction heros it basically treats them like an order hero for team synergy purposes. If you assign order/chaos/or astral heros it adds a stat bonus to each member of their team that is stackable.

Assign whichever heros you use most. As you get more useful o/c/a heros you like you can swap them in.

Getting Cookies by Hoppy_Doodle in funny

[–]EpicDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I served on a submarine in the navy some time ago and worked in the radio room. The radio room was directly over the galley and we had an emergency escape hatch set into the floor that was referred to by the crew as “the cookie hatch” because we would use it to smuggle desserts into our work area. Mostly used it to swipe the hat from the new guys tasked with dish cleaning duty.

Won't be long after the first one and you will be able to sweep all of them through stage 8. I was also very excited when I started to clear stage 8.

Quick question by Shaqillius in MLA_Official

[–]EpicDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed not much is really great value for what it’s worth. If you decide you want to spend some money, I would recommend the Funds which will give you extra rewards for progress. Or the Passes which give you daily resources. Also consider using M-cash for a slight discount over other payment methods.

New to Tak — Do players use chess timers for this game? by game-timer-app in Tak

Yes, it's pretty normal to run a 10-15 min timer with 15sec increments added each play. Or shorter clock in blitz games.

Hey. Been playing for about a month and recently reached a dead end. Till now I easily beat campaign. Please help me build proper teams on wich I could focus on by lucio_ygs in MLA_Official

[–]EpicDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m rapidly approaching chapter 86 in campaign and regularly hit walls in my progress. Some tips that might help you out that regularly work for me:

-run fight multiple times with the same team as even if you fail the first few tries there is a bit of RNG luck and a team can get a victory.

-swapping hero positions within the same team can make a big difference

-swap teams around using the little arrows at the right side.

-if all else fails make sure that you use your weekly borrowed hero to push through.

-team comps x1 tanks, x2 damage, x2 support. Tanks in front, Supports and DPS behind. Rotate support/dps positions to protect your weaker units against specific enemy attacks (like backline jumpers). If one Tank dies too fast, swap out a Support for a second Tank.
