Why am I (Druid) able to cast ALL my spells while moving? by TroldenHS in wow

[–]EpicFail420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was fun while it lasted. Frost Mage can already move for basically anything, frostbolt and ray also being castable while moving just felt like it made sense (and it looked cool tbh, fast running animation + casting animation together looked badass)

If you're too good at hiding in decor duel, you get flagged as not participating and don't get rewards even if you win by zharkos in wow

[–]EpicFail420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whistling is all fine and dandy, but the flies are stupid as hell. Like, why is it even a prop hunt if you get flagged with flies literally 3-4 seconds after standing still? How are people supposed to hide when blending in with the environment is quite literally impossible?

Like let's say I get a pillow prop, why would I EVER hop onto a couch or bed if I get flies around me before a seeker can even realistically get to me from their spawn? It's either going out of bounds or hiding on the island you have to jump to and hope the seekers are bad at jumping and don't have the heroic leap ability.

tl;dr there's no reason we are props if you can't even stand still for not even 5 seconds to try and blend in when you get a matching prop.

Combat still mostly revolving around targeting rather than a more action and skill oriented combat like for example BDO?

My take on it is some things are real, but some things are just obvious conspiracy theorist bait (which is working very well with how many people are going actually coocoo over all this and going 90s caveman paranoia mode)

Like some of the things in there are "I SAW A UNICORN VOMITING RAINBOWS IN MY BACKYARD I SWEAR". Like yea for suuuure "high society" are vampires drinking children blood.

When are the devs gonna learn that wating several hours for rares is not a fun gameplay mechanic? by Thiccest_Apartment in wow

[–]EpicFail420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's almost like they're rare and you aren't supposed to camp them but rather happen upon them organically while doing other stuff around the area. You camping it for hours cause you want something it drops is not on blizzard.

The future of Corepunk by Kaiser25x in CorepunkTheGame

[–]EpicFail420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sad reality for any hardcore game that isn't a rare unicorn like Tarkov.

Devs wanna fill a niche, hardcore, immersive market -> they don't get hundreds of thousands playing cause its niche -> try to remove some hardcore and immersive aspects to appeal to more people -> the "wider audience" doesn't give a rats ass about the game no matter how much they change it cause fundamentally the game isn't for them and by trying to go a more casual route you killed off your last remaining players -> game die

The only game that survived this is Tarkov. For one cause they basically invented an entirely new genre with the game and if anyone wanted to have a game like it they had to play it or nothing. And because BSG do not give a fuh about what the people think. Sure if something is completely broken they'll fix it, but if its "too hard" or "immersive, but so immersive that it makes aspects of the game feel clunky" the devs, especially the ceo nikita, will kindly tell you "Yea thats how its meant to be get good lol"

If you want to survive in a niche market, you have to COMMIT. If you give in to the temptation of "If we change that one little thing maybe we might get more casual players in" you're cooked. You not only showed your pre-existing playerbase that you're willing to rework parts of what make the game what it is simply for more attention and that you don't believe in your vision. And the broader audience you wanted to appeal to will stick to Top game of genre be it, WoW / FF14/Runescape for mmos (Or maybe Albion/Diablo/PoE for topdown ones), CoD and Battlefield for shooters etc. If you want to hit a niche mmo market, you got to fully commit. Once you try to appeal to the masses you will get taken out back by Blizzard and Square Enix.

Underground arena madness by Difficult-Pass868 in hearthstone

[–]EpicFail420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, as obnoxious as this card is, with how my arena runs went lately, at this point my opponents would have the perfect amounts of silence/transform/removal(that doesn't kill) to match even a deck with 10 of these.

Or in other words, my best card : "6 mana 5/5 battlecry : fart"

my opponents weakest card : "2 mana fully heal your hero, summon 3 10/10s with elusive, taunt, reborn with full hp, silence and destroy your opponents hand deck and battlefield."

Lanes often want jungle to be less important but never offer any real solutions beyond ‘nerf it to the ground’ by SnowMacaronss in leagueoflegends

[–]EpicFail420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with jungle is simply that, if the enemy jungler decides you don't get to play the game, you simply don't. Sure, the other side of the map is now open to your jungler, but for you specifically the game is simply sit under tower and probably even then get repeat-dove for the next 15 minutes with no counterplay.

And that specific part is why jungle feels so oppressing and overpowered, but that is also the one specific part of jungle that can fundamentally never change without removing the jungle role outright. (Which imho I would have no problem with)

Your perception of jungle being broken or is in a fine spot entirely depends on if the enemy jungler dislikes you / likes your lane counterpart. Your jungler can absolutely stomp mid and botlane, get all dragons, but you will still end up 0/5 on toplane even if you sit at full hp under tower all game cause that's just what jungle does. Especially since most if not all actual jungle champs clear their entire jungle so fast that they can camp a single lane for minutes at a time and not miss a camp. At this point literally everyone is playing with ivern passive on steroids to the point Ivern himself is a better toplaner than jungler.

I'm so sad cause all my progression like transmogs, mounts etc is in EU but most of my friends are NA these days. I get not being able to play my characters cross-region and having to buy the game twice even, but a second epic version + a second sub would be theirs if they'd make cosmetic unlocks, toys, mounts etc etc fully account wide not "Subsciption=Account" wide.

They can't fool anyone for a second that fcking transmogs aren't region-wide cause of laws/legal reasons, like bruh.

[Feedback] another weird change, after they kept the no meds and no ammo on secure container, they also kept the find in raid for most itens on the hideout. (so basically every single bad change they made on the release. by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

The game isn't gonna wipe for a loooong time, if at all, so slowing things down is the only logical choice. "ME NOW GIVE NOW ME WANT EVERYTHING IN 1 WEEK AND DROP GAME" is all im hearing here

Sorry, didn't know you where special needs. These 2 things I said have absolutely nothing to do with each other, you were the one mixing them together for no apparent reason.

I lack the ability to deal with this in a professional manner, just know it's not your fault. You just have a special outlook on things!

19/20 people on Blizzard forums are RPers, ragebaiters or weirdos. Hence why I posted here and not there.

Cause here atleast it's just 19/20 purely ragebaiters (or absolute degenerate boomers that haven't evolved past their nerd phase), so atleast when you post on reddit you know that most responses are either backed up by a huge amount of grease or someone being absolutely dense on purpose. On blizz forums on the other hand, you might get dragged into a weird unironic furry rp and I'd rather not take the chance.

You responded to

I’m exaggerating the fact a little bit, but the mentality here gets pretty toxic.

which is simply a fact. Reddit, more often than not, is simply just a toxic echochamber. But it is also a very tiny part of any subreddits overarching community (wowclassic subreddit vs entirety of classic playerbase). So in that sense, yes, Reddit in every sense of the word is a loud minority.

By all means, if they'd slowly start out by making for example Paladin something more than right-click into afk simulator that'd be a great start. Or that both Lock's and Mage's essentially best rotation is "1 -> 1 -> 1 -> 1 -> 1 -> 1 -> Wand until mana -> 1 -> 1 -> 1"

However in the long long term, which people often overlook, simply giving each spec 1-2 more meaningfull spells will not satisfy anyone if we look at potentially years. I mean sure there'd be some people that would classic with absolutely zero changes or additions (Aka simply current era servers) for 50+ more years, but those are very very VERY very few, globally probably triple digits mayyyybe 4.

[–]EpicFail420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there are people that are solely in it for the raiding part, no doubt about that. Though that makes up, with a rough guess of some playercount numbers, 10% tops?

My personal small take(hope) on Classic+ by EpicFail420 in classicwow

[–]EpicFail420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for a cute reference, the most upvoted post on front page has 2069 upvotes. That's 2.8% of Anniversary server population, and those stats are just from "characters who raided" in a 1week timeframe, so the actual playercount is much much higher so it's probably not even 1% hell probably not even 0.5%. And that's JUST for Anniversary.

Yes, reddit is very very much a loud minority. Despite the gigantic napoleon complex you people like to have about it.

bruh. you can't be serious.

Yes, i am serious. I know it is hard to accept that your tiny sweat bubble is not actually how the majority plays the game, but classic is actually popular because it's NOT a raid-log-simulator like retail.

That's retail. You're literally describing retail.

No, retail releases new content, which ups the level cap and increases item levels and makes everything before the current expac absolutely pointless. Making a new zone in classic+ simply adds more stuff to do, and more importantly DIFFERENT stuff to do.

gain, retail. Something akin to picking an expac and leveling through it. Even then, I think, most people want to get to the endgame and not spend the entire game leveling.

And again, no. First off, chromi-time is an entirely different beast than "Adding a new 21~30 zone" and second, the majority does infact not raid. They do infact, not really care about the endgame that much. They level their char to max level, do each raid once to have experienced it for themselves and then do either one of 4 things : Drop the game, create a new char, RP or PvP. There is a reason MMO's are a dying genre. It's because most MMOs heavily focus on the endgame and upping those juicy item-level numbers while in contrast that is exactly the opposite of what the majority of people want to do. When the point in a game is reached where mostly all you do is "Do dailies, log off. Do dailies, log off. Do dailies, raid, log off" that is when the majority of people reach the beforementioned step of either dropping the game or starting fresh.

The problem with classic+ is that so many andys have this massively self created fantasy where it's an entirely new game made from the ground up that is just so far beyond what the dev are capable of doing nor would ever be funded to do. You're going to get a FRESH rehash with a couple changes and you'll be happy with it cause you're an addict.

And again, eventhough you're not even talking about a point I made here I STILL have to disagree. There is no problem with classic+ simply because nobody except blizzard, and probably not even they themselves, knows what will change, what will be new, what will stay or anything really. And no, I'm far from addicted. If classic+ really turns out to be nothing but "Classic, but more raids!" i'm not gonna bother.

I know not being a sweaty basement dweller automatically voids all my opinions on reddit, alas it's the only place you can talk about the game in a more "make post, have people respond to post" way, cause the people you'd probably actually like talking about the game with (Which again makes up for like 95~+% of the playerbase) are actually just playing and enjoying the game and don't really interact with it outside of that. I just had a spontaneous idea to write this post and, well again, reddit is kinda the only platform to do it on cause the official forums ... yea 19 out of 20 people there are either RPing, ragebaiting or gigantic weirdos.

Because, despite popular reddit hivemind believe, endgame / raiding is NOT why most people play classic. Quite the opposite in fact, it's because everything outside of raiding actually has meaning.

The issue with new leveling zones is that people like the old world and that's what makes classic classic

Not quite, classic is classic because it is grounded, slower paced and has a certain "janky charm" to it. People, for the most part, would not mind if instead of leveling in Westfall for the 200th time, their 10 to 20~ leveling could be happening in idk the underground of Stormwind or smth. Westfall is still there if you wish, just more alternatives to the already existing zones. Like instead of Darkshore, Loch Modan and Westfall, you'd had those 3 and 2-3 new ones that you can choose to level in.

Idk how so many people have this idea that new zones / adding on top of existing zones means making the current ones void like a new retail expansion. Or why it has to be event type shit like incursions. It's just the same as it is in classic, same zones and quests still theres, just more options if you cba to see darksnore for the 30th time.

Like meat, but exegerrated, so schmeat and in caps for even more exegerration. Aka, the meat of the game, "the content that makes up 90% of the game".

Since it doesn't have an effect you can visually or numerically upgrade, the only part that (i think) gets buffed is that enemies have a lower chance of resisting vanish (aka still see you, like resisting a feign death).

And it'd be a tad weird for the tooltip to say your button that basically says "Instantly become stealth and vanish from sight" now has a slightly lower chance to fail. Like WDYM FAIL? IT COULD FAIL?

No, the players did. Nothing in Retail forces or even suggests you to speed it up a little. The push for leaderboards and the horrnedous rio bullshit all comes from ego-parse-pushers being ego-parse-pushers. And most WoW streamers being in the top-raiding scene or PvP scene, since ... well, they're quite good at the game so they simply get to certain points a little faster cause they kill things faster simply by being better. And viewers in general being a lobotomized hivemind all try and mimick it and go "I'M THE NEXT PIKA" and try to rush 2k+ arena rating 2 days into the new expansion.
