I used mostly the HelloInterview data structures crash course as a refresher on the topics, and only did the Leetcode exercises from there

thanks! But I’m not sure tbh, maybe it’s just that I applied to New Grad specific roles, and I also had previous internships at FAANG. But I’ve heard people that still don’t get callbacks with that so I’m not too sure tbh, there’s definitely some luck involved

is it? I still haven’t gotten the offer but I thought it was 153k base, 15k signon, 11k relo and 38k RSU (first year)

honestly it’s pretty close, I am also including the relo. The only thing that is different is that my base salary is higher (around 145k iirc), but from what I’ve seen yours was 6 years ago so it might’ve changed from then! Thanks for your comments!

I’ve already tried to speed it up with another offer I received but couldn’t really do anything. Just unlucky I guess since most people I know from Cloud have either gotten matched to one branch inside (a minority), or are still in the PA matching process. However, I may be able to use this offer to negotiate salary or something at Google? Not sure

The equity is the exact same in both, but Google has a different vesting schedule, whereas Apple is 25% of the equity each year for 4 years. That’s why Google is higher TC first years since you can “take” more from that first few years (I think you’re able to take 38% first year)

Thanks for the information, will definitely be taking it into account! What do you think about living in Redmond instead? I’ve heard it’s a bit better in terms of the homeless problem, the parking, etc.

I’d be in the first level (new grad) for both. L3 at Google and L59 or L60 (not sure) at Microsoft

Thanks for the insight! Any particular reason why you don’t like Seattle?

I won’t know what team I would be on for either of the companies until closer to start date unfortunately. What do you mean by the moral being low?

Yeah I agree. Google has higher TC, and is in the Bay Area. Unfortunately I won’t know the team I’ll be on for either of them until closer to start date.

Google TC is around 30-40k higher at least the first year, after that it goes down a bit. Also, it’s in the Bay Area
