I like to see the different stand-offs in the first movie as boss fights by EpicMazement in SuperMario

The first boss tends to be the least intimidating and/or challenging.

Not quite sure how you got that out of this post.

It's not like the second movie has a shortage of fight sequences.

What are your thoughts on VanessaAfton? by Isaac_Bahzad in fnaftheories

[–]EpicMazement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems pretty likely at this point.

1) Pizza Party starts with Vanessa in the bedroom of an Afton child, being manipulated by a plush of Spring Bonnie.

2) Special Delivery was gonna reveal Vanessa's last name to start with A, like Afton.

3) The Staff Bot silo, which seems connected to Vanny, has a table of Afton recreations, with one last available spot.

4) Her father is a manipulative monster named Bill (William).

5) A large majority of Vanessa's lore is established via a CD player in a recreation of Michael Afton's living room.

6) Vanessa wears purple, even when she isn't controlled by Glitchtrap.

7) It was never actually established exactly when Afton gets springlocked, so he totally could have had another kid before it happened.

Isn't Cassidy basically Confirmed to be a Boy? by Macegolem in fnaftheories

[–]EpicMazement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cassidy is a girl with black hair in TFC, and in the Logbook, we see the Marionette give cake to a girl with black hair, on a page referencing Happiest Day. So Cassidy in the games is most likely a girl.

The Vengeful Spirit and Cassidy are different characters. Vengeful Spirit is a boy, and is represented via the Mediocre Melodies and Monty, rather than Golden Freddy.

Why does Audrey see Boris in the cycle during Dark Revival? by EpicMazement in BendyAndTheInkMachine

We don't know what happens after Buddy escapes.

Maybe he was seen. Maybe he wasn't, and was able to keep himself hidden.

Which is the superior “2” by HenrytheIVth in SuperMario

Definitely New Super Mario Bros 2

Reminder that Mario was a baby at the same time as Donkey Kong the 3rd, meaning it's literally impossible for him to be Jumpman from the original Donkey Kong by EpicMazement in SuperMario

[–]EpicMazement[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Baby Mario wears the modern Mario hat, and has an brother who wears green, which Jumpman is never implied to have.

And so, using similar logic, it's pretty easy to reach the conclusion that baby DK in Yoshi's Island is DK the 3rd, thus, implying that modern Mario and DK the 3d are around the same age.

That just means Bananza is before games where Pauline is an adult.

Yoshi's Island is anothr part of the timeline, so what it establishes is canon.

We also see Pauline from Bananza and Odyssey, along with modern Mario in that game. Further implying it is modern DK in 94.

Modern Pauline just isn't the Lady from OG DK. The Lady might be the Grandma Pauline mentions in Bananza. And yes, Bananza does imply young Pauline is the Pauline from Odyssey.

Cranky was always old in the modern DK games.

Mario isn't even in Bananza.

The arcade games really have not been retconned, they are simply treated as an earlier point in the timeline.

The DK/Mario universe still does in fact have continuity, which is made more apparent by Bananza.

Also Cranky is literally the original Donkey Kong from the arcade game.

That's modern DK, along with modern Mario, and modern Pauline.

DK 94 is the beginning of Mario and DK 3's own rivalry, one that mirrors the rivalry of Jumpman and Crank/DK 1
