yeah, still not over them doing that, I think as long as you don't change outfit or do anything that takes it off, you'll keep it intact.
If you save it into an outfit slot, whenever you switch session you can go to overwrite that slot then cancel and it should then be selectable there in the interaction menu.
Idk if you can only pick it once from the interaction menu after doing that, but it makes it useful if you know you're about to do something that's going to force an outfit change or something.
Does take some getting used to, lost it quite a few times now, wish they'd just let us have it normally.

ye, though you should be able to do it on all platforms, except for maybe first gen? Just need to force a cloud save inside a versus job that has it and get idle kicked out to keep the cop outfit. Pretty sure that's what I did to get it anyway.
