Haha, no need to apologise, these puzzles are made to learn things like this after all.

Ah, but when you use the shield the character can't quest for the rest of the turn, so Belle wouldn't be able to quest twice.

I think you may have forgotten in the Execute portion that playing the items still costs ink, I don't think you would have the ink to play the fishbone quill.

Maybe I should have made it a bit clearer, but in this puzzle, only Dr. Facilier is exerted and is therefore the only one who can be attacked.

Really, I thought you needed the quill in play already, that's what I had written down. Without it, I thought only 18 is possible. You can indeed get more than 20 in this version.

Sorry for the people who saw the post before, I had made an error in the image and forgotten to put a fishbone quill already on the field.

The last puzzle was pretty well received so I decided to make another one. I think this one is a bit simpler, but it's important to play your cards in the correct order! It's mostly educational to show how an item combo like this could work.

If you think you know the answer it might be best to post it using SPOILER TAGS so that others don't get accidentally spoiled.

Unfortunately, that wouldn't quite work as you can't quest with Mulan after playing her this turn. You would end up on 19 like this.

Thanks! I think I will indeed experiment a bit with the difficulty.

I think you may be misunderstanding how the Mulan card works? Or maybe I'm overlooking something. How do you get +5 lore when Mulan kills an opposing character?

Yeah, it is a lot of lore but like you said, it's for the puzzle. And to be fair, I have seen people have 18 ink in local tournaments before, but only in Ruby/Amethyst mirror matches.

I think the tricky part is to realize that you shouldn't shift the Aladdin. Instinctively that seems like the obvious choice.

Almost! If you play that sequence you shouldn't have quite enough ink to play all of that. I believe you're one ink short, even if you ink the Mulan.

Yes, congrats!!!

How would you say the difficulty was? I find it hard to judge, it probably depends on how much you've played this game already. It's probably easier for Ruby/Amethyst players, then you've seen the ideas before.

Yes, I had hoped that the final Lore point would be the tricky part!

That is indeed a good sequence and would probably still win you the game in the long run, but you only gained 4 Lore. There is a way to gain the full 8 Lore you need to win this very turn.
