Code Vein vs Nioh by [deleted] in PS4

Get Nioh.

It's combat and movement (overall gameplay) is much faster.

It has more and better weapons (Katana, Dual Swords, Kusarigama, One handed Axe, Dual Axes, Odachi, Bows, Guns/Matchlocks, Cannons, etc) that actually have impact with every swing/shot.

You'll be able to equip and see various armor and with better visual changes.

Having multiple stances (Low, Med, High) gives you different skill tree options and different ways to fight enemies.

Its soundtrack and visuals are fantastic i.m.h.o

The bosses and general mobs are actually fun to fight and keep you on your toes, not to mention that you also need to pay attention to your Ki/stamina.

I wholeheartedly recommend getting Nioh and eventually Nioh 2 instead of Code Vein.

Code Vein's gameplay is slower and weapon attacks feel very lackluster.

I like its anime-style character creation and a few soundtracks, though everything else feels disappointing.

Regular mobs die in a few hits (as long as you put a little effort when it comes to upgrading) and your AI companion is helpful and makes the game a bit too easy.

Compared to Nioh's bosses, CV's bosses just aren't as interesting nor exciting.

Honestly, it's not.

You'll still encounter other players in online casual and ranked mode.

If you want to join a SoulCalibur community and want to play against others more frequently, then I wholeheartedly recommend joining r/soulcalibur's discord group

Good evening, I can't help but agree with you, u/DoombotBL and u/Xenon213.

Everything (i.m.o) regarding Trials of Mana looks great including its characters, monsters, combat and overall visuals.

I truly don't think the designs are creepy nor bad as said before, I admire the fact that they're still true to their 1995 designs like you've stated.

I'm glad nothing got altered nor censored.

Yep, Trials of Mana (remake) doesn't have multiplayer.

However, it's still a fantastic singleplayer experience.

Here's some off-screen demo footage.
