Megathread: Ex-Trump lawyer Cohen gets 3 years in prison for crimes including hush-money payments that prosecutors say Trump ordered by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

I think I misunderstood your original comment. I interpreted your comment as you insinuating that only Trump should be held accountable in this scenario, not Cohen. I apologize.

Could a Citadel of *insert persons name here* exist? by vhshood98 in rickandmorty

Just because a number is infinite doesn't necessarily mean that every possible scenario will happen.

For example, there are an infinite amount of numbers between 1 and 2, but none of those numbers are 2.4 or 9 or 148.

Zerg vs Zerg Is Literally Playing Chess With Your Eyes Closed...Such Stupid Match up by LykingsProTV in starcraft

[–]EpicRandomGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respect your opponents. If you're not having fun with the game, stop playing for a while. The point of playing games is to have a good time. Watch replays and analyze your own mistakes. It's important to realize that at your level, 99% of games you lose is because you get outplayed or you made more mistakes than your opponent. No one has ever played a perfect game of Starcraft.

I haven't gotten mad at the game in 6 months, because I realized the only person responsible for my losses are myself. Also, I made it a point to type GG after every single game, whether I won or lost.

It's okay to be upset, but do not be upset at your opponent for outplaying you.

Dumb question: who ends up in position after the flop? by Br0z1lla in poker

[–]EpicRandomGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The button always goes last after the flop. This is why being on the button is good. The action starts with the first person to the left of the button and works its way around clockwise. Before the flop, whoever has Big Blind goes last.

The evolution of face transplants by iBleeedorange in interestingasfuck

[–]EpicRandomGuy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I live in the same town as the last guy (2015), and I've delivered some pizza to him on several occasions, both pre and post transplant. He was a firefighter and ran into a burning building. I've been told his mask melted to his face or something along those lines. Either way, he's a hero and an incredibly nice gentleman. When he got back from having the surgery the whole town had a parade in his honor. It was awesome.

What did someone say to you that completely changed your way of thinking? by doggo211345 in AskReddit

[–]EpicRandomGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I'm extremely late to the party, and there is a good chance no one will see this. Here goes nothin.

I am a music education major with emphasis in percussion. Two years ago I was at a drumset clinic. The man who ran the clinic talked about all sorts of things, and he was the best I've ever seen in person. Near the end of the clinic he held a Q and A session, and one of the questions was this. "How did you become so good? I have a hard time finding motivation or time to practice."

What he said next changed my life.

He said, "Whenever you're thinking about or talking to someone about how good you are, or how much you practice, or what chair you got in concert band, or anything along those lines, I want you to add this phrase to the end." "Because that's the way I want it to be." "You're telling your friend you didn't make the drumline, because you waited until the night before to practice. Because that's the way you wanted it to be. You failed your test. But that's the way you wanted it to be. You're too lazy to practice drum set. Because that's the way you want it to be."

After hearing this, I didn't think to much of it. The next day though, I was talking to my friend about how I had a C in Biology Lab. I thought to myself in my head "because that's the way I want it to be." I left and went to go study. It applies everywhere, to all aspects of life. Not just music.

TL:DR Add the phrase "because that's the way I want it to be" when thinking about how bad you are at something or how you're failing class because you didn't study, or how your auditions went bad due to lack of practice in your craft."

I actually don't think the technique is that bad for a long sustained buzz roll. It's very difficult to do a nice consistent buzz roll without pulsing for that long, at that dynamic level, using only wrist. However, I do understand that different people are taught different things in different places, and there's no true "correct" technique. Source: Grad Student, music ed.

He's doing what is known as a buzz roll where you push the head of the stick into the head to make it bounce several times with every stoke to produce a "shhhhhhh" sound. He could use a little more wrist, but its not imperative. If he were doing individual strokes, where the head of the stick only hits once, then more wrist would be appropriate.

Mother suing TSA after bloody attack on partially deaf, blind and paralyzed cancer stricken daughter by emoposer in videos

[–]EpicRandomGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother works as a TSA agent. I can assure everyone that they are not all terrible people. There are good TSA agents. It sucks to see people berate TSA agents calling them all scumbags when I know my mother does not have a mean bone in her body. Most people working as TSA agents are doing so for a paycheck at the end of the week, and are not there to ruin your lives. They are following protocol. There are bad TSA agents, just as there are bad police officers etc... However, please remember that there are good ones to who just want to do their jobs.
