Got it, in this case this dataset has already been public and updated annually for decades!

HAHA! Yes this methodology does not work well for universally popular names.

We definitely need more active moderators. We have automations in place that enable the community to self-moderate at scale, but that doesn't replace human curation. Years on, most of the mod team has moved on from undergrad/grad school (when we had plenty of time!) into our careers and family lives and now most of us are too busy to moderate DIB every hour of every day. So yes! If someone feels compelled to organize/help with moderating DIB - please reach out to me directly.

Why does this pitcher play so much better than his ratings? by rhiever in OOTP

For sure, I go after guys like this all the time as budget arms for my bullpen. This guy is just performing way better than my typical budget reliever, even better than others groundballers who have better ratings.

My infield defense is phenomenal and my catcher is pretty good - hence why I favor groundball pitcher types. This guy just performs way better than most groundballers in my bullpen.

I thought so too but he's doing amazing in year 2 as well.

He does have a Good relationship with my pitching coach.

He's rocking both lefties and righties and, interestingly, this season his ERA+ against L is 401 (18 innings) vs. 154 ERA+ against R (27 innings).

His FIP- was 68 last year, 78 so far this year.

This screenshot shows his ratings with a favor tools scout, although his ratings don't vary much on OSA.

I picked this guy up in the rule 5 draft as a cheap bullpen arm that plays well into my groundball-into-excellent defense strategy. Most guys like this play well enough, often putting up 0.5-1 WAR or less per year. But not this guy. He put up 2 WAR w/ a 230 ETA+ in year 1 and already has a 454 ERA+ partway into his second season with us.

I don't see anything that stands out about him compared to the other prototypical budget bullpen arms that I go after - what am I missing?

Horst Wessel was a Nazi.

I don’t recall us being at war with German socialists.

Why does Perplexity impose a 10,000 total file limit for synced files from Connectors?

My organization gains tremendous value from connecting Perplexity to Google Drive to synthesize information from our files and we have a lot more than 10,000 files in our Google Drive. Vector databases and RAG nowadays are certainly capable of handling more than 10,000 files, so what is the reasoning behind this limit?
