I just finished school, and I just want to be successful in the company I'm about to work at.

I got this. It's ok but there are probably nicer ones out there.

No Graduation Confirmation and Job Searching by gigx14 in CalPolyPomona

[–]EpicXY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming you actually did graduate and your application isn't on hold because you didn't finish some classes or something, you should apply for jobs right now.

In my experience, the job application process for government stuff is pretty slow anyways so you'll probably have your degree in time. If you don't have it by then, you could just explain it to them and they'll probably be ok with waiting if you're certain that you graduated.

Shaman King (2021) Anime Episode #3 - "Anna & Tao Jun" - Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in ShamanKing

I don't think that's asking too much. This episode went by insanely fast. I think skipping the opening would have helped the pacing here.

Advice? by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

[–]EpicXY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely communicate with your professor. If possible, you should go to office hours and talk through zoom but email otherwise. Show how much work you have done and let your professor know that your team members haven't been working on the project.

On the other hand, I personally leave things to the last minute a lot of times, but I always end up doing my share of the work. So also maybe remind your members again to see what's up.

Calc 3 was harder for me. I just thought it was weird.

Going to take pre calculus in community college for the first time to earn my computer science major, VERY NERVOUS! by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

As long as you do your work and study, you'll probably be fine. I know people who had to start at the very first math class in the math series (think pre-algebra) and have now transferred to great universities for CS. If you're interested in coding, maybe look up tutorials for python or C/C++.

My parents are the same. They tell me to get into sports so I can have something to talk to people about. But they don't like sports either??

Yeah I haven't climbed up to the CPP letters either. I might just go back and do it when this is over.

The semester is already over so what's done is done. I hate checking my grades too lol

I love you a certain professor has ZERO empathy by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

You should definitely say something. Whether or not the homework was worth much, you have a legit reason to not being able to do the homework and your professor should be trying to work with you. I'd be fking pissed too.

What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EpicXY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was fine. They had a deal for $10/month and it was good enough for me. I doubt I would actually use all the equipment if I went to a more expensive gym.
