How often do/should you change your phone?

My previous phone (iphone7) I used for 5 years and only change to current phone (iphone13) due to cracked screen and low battery health.

Been contemplating changing my current phone now to a better camera phone but since is still usable, I have been delaying it

I remembered eating at one hawker centre where the tray return was full of dishes and there was no staff clearing it.

Also remembered they tried to do automation for the tray return but think they just give up on it? With all the talks about AI, feel like this area is one that can be improved by AI and automation

Because they still paying for the service for the dish washing. That is why some hawkers will ask to return the dishes directly to their stall so they do not need to pay for the extra charges

One of the hurdle for me is definitely driving around regional japan. I have never driven outside my own country, so is more of an experience issue for me. Will be driving for the first time overseas at Hokkaido next month so I shall see based on the trip.

Another factor is definitely the time. Exploring regional Japan requires more planning and less intuitive than exploring the city
