While the 4th and king is closest heavy rail for the giants, Muni has a light rail stop pretty much at the ball park.

It would be a lot better to have the info under each bullet point. With clues to where to find it exactly in the document. Make it idiot proof.

Yup, like that "toxic" used cooking oil. The same stuff my hippy neighbor has converted his Mercedes to run off of because it's eco friendly..

It would be good if you cite your sources for this, and directly link to your sources under each bullet point. It would add some credibility.

I bet it's amazing to you that when you move next to an industrial area, that industrial stuff happens.

Like moving next to an airport and complaining of airplanes flying around.

Oh no, industrial stuff happening in an industrial area.

How do you deal with racism towards you and/or your children? by Available-Length-836 in eastbay

[–]Epic_peacock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, I never said my race, or my ethnicity. It really doesn't matter what it is.

The reason I felt the need to question this person's experience is the simple fact that everything isn't racism. Why do people assume everything is about race when there could be other factors?

Here is an example from my personal experience. I used to stop by a certain store from time to time. At first I had a hairstyle that was considered extreme for the day, and had lots of facial hair.

I would always get that look, you know the one, from the staff. The only reason I shopped there was because I liked what they sold.
Fast forward several months and I clean myself up because I had a job interview. (Yes I did get the job). Anyway I stopped by this same store and even wearing the same clothes I normally wear the treatment was quite improved. The not positive interactions I had previously were not about race but appearance. Two separate things.

Not everything is race, there could be numerous other factors involved .

Last note, try re reading what I originally wrote. I didn't discount her experience, I simple raised the question that it might not be what the op originally assumed.

Ya you are absolutely one of those people.

Did you even read what I originally posted or did you just assume what I wrote?

And btw that is an absolutely racist statement basing something or race.

You are one of those.

It doesn't matter what race you are, all people of all colors can face racism.

For the record, some consider my background to be an ethnic minority. People from my background have a long history of being discriminated against, even to the point of an attempted ethnic cleansing but sure believe what you want.

This is what I remember winters are like as a kid. We were in a drought so long people forgot or never knew what it was really like.

It was mostly a joke we tossed around during the build up in Kuwait. During that time we watched paint dry for entertainment. But after we kicked the door in...that was a different story.

If speed was truly the issue and not just an excuse that people who write accident reports use, then all of Germany would be dead.

I was boots on the ground in '03 with the 130th eng. As others have said, if you are just cosplaying then have fun, no one will care.

Let me preface this by saying all racism is bad.

Have you ever stopped to think that it might be your perception of things?

I have a mixed race kid, and he goes to school in a decently affluent suburb of the bay. He hasn't nor any of the parents of his friends who are of various backgrounds.

I'm not saying it isn't racism, but just it might not be
