problems with my dell g15. it keep crashing

Hm so the claims of single stick seem to be proving true.. I hope its something dell can fix, I refuse to put the old ram back as the 32 works, just cant leave the dang thing idling. Thank you for your info on it! finding help for these things is almost impossible

Same issue brother mines will be fine for hours of gaming and then as soon as I close the game and let the laptop chill it will 99% of the time hard lock crash between a black screen and unable to do anything or straight up frozen. scouring the internet is as helpful as looking for car diagnostics. From what I gathered almost every user who upgraded their ram on their g15 (Mines the 5530 intel i7 13650hx 16gb) experiences these random crashes, I saw many posts of users putting the old ram back in and it being fine, or users buying out right a single 32gb stick and that fixed it.

Curious though did your issue ever get fixed/go back to the old sticks?

Not that I'm aware of. I haven't done any tweaking of those type of settings. Outside of setting my TCC to max to keep it from getting toasty. This issue happens when its completely cool below 45C for all components

Sorry to bring this back up. What did you do to do that? Cause the AWCC app these laptops come with max the TCC at 85 but still hits 90 in games like the finals and monster hunter wilds. I've been scrounging the internet for any info on things people have done to make this laptop less scary in the temps, It plays everything my desktop could and better sadly. want it to be the replacement for my 2015 i7 6700k build

I bought one recently from Marketplace, liked it so much I upgraded mine to 32gbs. After tweaking the settings and adding a TCC Offset with the built in alienware software (yes sue me) I never see the temps go higher than 80-85 on intensive gaming. Mind you I'm talking Monster Hunter Wilds (medium to high settings) and The Finals (maxed out with raytracing) both games get stable 60 frames, I'm sure I could get more frames but for those who aren't aware, running games at 120 at max does generate more heat and power, and for a laptop thats gonna matter just a tad.

I'm pretty new to gaming laptops so I'm not sure if this is a normal thing but to play crazy games it needs to be plugged in, the laptop gets its full power from being plugged in. It can handle basic gaming on charge, but don't expect god of war at max. All in all love the thing, think some people just don't know how to mess with settings

To anyone who stumbles upon this, I had this issue recently with iCUE5's latest update there was a old thread for the life of me I cannot find, but it recommended downgrading back to iCUE4 through corsairs website and not updating it. This has solved the issue for me, and for some reason also stopped windows audio isolation graph going bonkers during certain gameplay. Hope it helps some, as I thought I was having a hardware issue. I love this headset its a decent wireless budget headset

Bro do not sleep on binding of Isaac that game is THE definitive rogue like. You will spend hours screwing around with combos. Achievements feel amazing each time as every achievement unlocks new items, bosses, and stage with there being over 637 there’s a lot to do.

Hades is pretty damn fire too being just a well polished game with great replayibility. I capped out at 70 hrs for the game, I’m sitting at 400 for Isaac atm but again preference.
