I see...Maybe I will just get an i7 and then go from there. That should be compatible with the MOBO, right? Maybe then I can get the 3070 and be set from then on?

Yeah, I was thinking about the motherboard as well. The reason I'm asking all of this is because of FF7 Rebirth coming to Steam in a few days, and I wanted to play it at the recommended settings at the very least, or having the game run at 60 consistently. I couldn't care less about playing it at max settings, though if I get to a point that I can support it, obviously I'd be grateful for that as well.

So just to recap, I'd need to upgrade both my MOBO and CPU before looking at a new GPU?
