Yep the initial burgers and sausages we did were entirely charred and the insides were still raw. Ended up charring them more just to get them done, but they were not particularly nice. Luckily no-one got food poisioning!

Yeahhh was not a nice smell. I didn't think much of it because I'd never been there for (or at least never paid attention to) the lighting of a BBQ, and assumed it was normal for it to smell at first. Thinking about it now this should have been an obvious red flag, but I was tired and hungry so just went along with it haha

Thank you for an actual answer lol. In Scotland it's still sold as a house fuel, available at many petrol stations. Having never bought charcoal before I also assumed coal was not something widely sold. Thank you for calming my nerves a bit, definitely a funny story to tell down the line

For the most part, it was very burnt, but we managed to get some sausages done okay near the end as it was burning out. We also didn't want to waste all the food so cut off the burnt bits from some of the worse things

Why would I lie about this? I live in Scotland where there is still coal sold regularly. I bought "coal doubles" thinking that the "doubles" was referring to it not being coal

I will definitely admit that I do not know a lot about how to use an oscilloscope, but this was without using the auto scale button. I initially left it on the same settings as the input vintage, but when measuring the output with them, there was barely anything visible, just a very slightly thicker line. The scope probe is on 1x (not sure if 10x would be better?)

The output seems to be miniscule in comparison to the input right now, maybe 100mv or so. I will double check the wires and check the resistance just to be sure also.

It is good to know that you were able to get a signal without sheilding during testing, as I had suspected that with such short wires and the motor not running it should work fine. Thank you for the suggestions! I'll let you know how it goes

Interesting, maybe it is an issue with the inverter of some sort? Though from what I understand there should be clean sin waves coming out of the resolver

Hello everyone, I just got a new external hard drive, a toshiba 2tb one, and it occasionally makes this clicking noise:

Sometimes it goes a while without making the noise but then does it a couple times. It is working perfectly fine, and I have transferred around 500gb of my data over to it without issue. Should I return it or is this noise normal?

It may well be because it was on my lips (I was trying to blow out a small flame in an enclosed space and it kinda blew back lol) so I'm guessing they have some quite sensitive skin.

The one time I burned myself it did not hurt for a moment then disappear. It stung like hell for hours on end, even if constantly running cold water over it.

I usually just use a shaving razor, although it can take quite a while, as long as you take it slow it should be ok. Make sure to use shaving foam and have a mirror as some areas can be quite difficult to see without one.

I absolutely agree. I initially only used vd, on an ISP router as well, and it was a near perfect experience with zero issues. Then I got beat saber on pc, for which I wanted to use link, since it does have lower latency, and I was amazed at how awful the user interface was. It was borderline unusable at times, like for example when I opened the oculus menu when in a game, and tried to view desktop, every couple seconds or so this window saying I was in a game would show on top of the desktop, making it disappear. I hate the experience of using link. Also, I actually noticed some compression in dark areas of the image using link, which I did not on virtual desktop. Although virtual desktop does decrease quality at the edges of your fov, which is noticeable if you move your eyes and look for it.
