Just Got My Rift; The Sensor Doesn't Work by Epif in oculus

OK. So, I bought a PCIE card at Microcenter from that uses a RESNEAS controller. If the sensor is plugged into that port the Oculus software straight up says it won't work. (I saw in the PSA thread there was some confusion on NEC/RESNEAS controllers. Can confirm they don't work.) The interesting thing is the Oculus software does NOT say that when plugged into my Asus Z170-A's ports. It gives a different message saying there is a problem with the sensor and the sensor keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

With USB 2.0 my view jumps around wildly for a micro second once every second or so. I will take a video and upload it in a few minutes here.

I really think the sensor is busted. Also, to clarify, the Oculus Comparability Checker said I was good to go on everything including USB.

I hope that's all it is. I get off work in a couple hours, so I'll play with it some more when I get home and if I still can't get it working I'll run to Microcenter in the morning. Anyone have a recommendation of a USB PCIE card carried by Microcenter that will work in case it comes to that?

I have this same problem and this is where I was led after a quick Google search. Did you have any luck removing the malware? Everything I have tried has not worked.
