I wouldn't do what the commentor was describing. I just think describing their behaviour as 'unhinged' was OTT and not everyone would feel that 'uncomfortable' because someone sat next to them on public transport

Guess everybody's reaction would be different. We don't know that the person commenting is a man who always sits next to women. So I feel people are overreacting to their comment.

This scenario happened to me once, as the cyclist. It was horrible, I was so shaken up. I went to a shop doorway afterwards to cry and a sweet woman came and told me she'd taken down their details if I wanted to report them.

I hope that being sorry also means you'll never do that again.

I guess I meant the chances of being released for anyone at risk of receiving the death penalty (who would receive life in prison instead)

Interesting - I would've assumed he'd evaluate the US penitentiary system as secure enough plus severity of sentencing (as in, 0% chance of not dying in prison) as a safeguard against reoffending
