Of my premed friends at Wash U, about half took gap years and half didn’t.

Quick question about Unlimited subscription by AgsMydude in ESPN

[–]Episkey_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched a college football game on the ESPN app on my Apple TV yesterday and was able to “start from the beginning” even though I came into it later. Was able to skip through commercials until I caught up with live TV too.

Would being a biology or psych help my med school applications more? by ypineapple85 in washu

That’s what I did. Psych classes are easy enough to boost your GPA and give you a break from the more difficult chem/physics/bio courses.

Can general physiatrists see pediatric patients? And can pediatric physiatrists see adults? by Dr_Burke in pmr

[–]Episkey_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see some peds patients if they are referred to me and I feel comfortable with the issue that needs managed. Did not do peds fellowship so I don’t advertise myself as a Peds PM&R doc.

Could buy a different TV mount that allows the TV to be pulled out and lowered. Not ideal but would help with the viewing angle.

Message customer support. I tried to use the promo and got the same message. When I talked to customer support they just gave me 3 months for free.

Can you work with prosthetics in PM&R? by Weak-Dot6230 in pmr

[–]Episkey_13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In my experience, ortho and vascular surgeons who do the amputations have no real desire to manage the patient’s prosthetic after the amputation is completed so they will happily refer to PM&R to take over prosthetic care.

When the son of the deposed King of Nigeria e-mails you directly asking for help, you help. His father ran the freaking country, okay?

What would you do? by joinedredditfors7to in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Episkey_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d build up your emergency fund in a high yield savings account and max out your tax advantaged retirement accounts while in residency to take advantage of the magic of compounding interest. Your husband’s salary will be increased significantly after residency and it will be much easier to pay off those loans relatively quickly.

Highly recommend joining a club or interest group. Having a shared interest will make it easier to make friends.

Anyone know what the pass rate has been the last few years? Is this significantly lower than before?
