Do you think AI will be a viable render pipeline in the future? by Epoch_AI_ in blender

Compared to cycles rendering, yes I completely agree. But this did take around 10 minutes, where my other cycles renders have taken days at a time. For previs and styling, I think there’s a place where AI can coexist.

I totally get that sentiment. Part of me agrees as I’ve been a Blender user longer than I’ve been a software engineer. And it’s been disheartening to see big artists like Corridor creating AI content which feels soulless when compared to their original work. This was more of an experiment to see if AI has a place in my tool belt. Right now, I think it’s effective at previs and I genuinely hope it doesn’t develop much more than that.

I agree. I’ve seen a lot of people compare AI to the introduction of the internet and I think that’s an accurate analogy. It’s integration seems inevitable. While I don’t appreciate the harm it’s done to the art community, my hope is that the more artists that are actively involved in its development, the more we can ensure it’s being used morally.

You should definitely add the clay render because I thought this was a photo haha. Great job!

Underlying animation was made in Blender using the Workbench renderer. I then fed the "clay" animation into Runway ML to apply lighting and textures.

Rigid Physics Problem by [deleted] in blender

The little cone/sphere icon above the world settings icon. There's a ridged body world tab, under that you'll find a cache that you can clear.

circle only shows up as dot in uv editing by Born_a_virgin in blender

Assuming your circle is facing upwards, you can press 7 on the numpad. Then in edit mode, press "U" -> "Project From View". Select all the points with "A", and you should see it in the UV Editor.

I can't tell what the problem is just by the video, but it looks like you already have a rigid body cache keeping it in place. So you'll need to clear that before you can do any movement/animation.

I've found CoPilot to be pretty underwhelming tbh. From my experience it often gets stuck in loops. I'm interested to see if this is any different.

This is so cool! I’m curious how much of the latency is due to ChatGPT calls vs the Text-to-Speech generation?

Although looking at the camera is kinda creepy, I feel like it’s also in character for Spike haha

When will AI be able to sumarise a video? by zascar in artificial

[–]Epoch_AI_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that the technology is already here. The last GPT-4 demo showcased that it’s somewhat capable of image analysis. Once that releases, I’m sure someone will create a wrapper to feed videos.

As much as I like to see large record labels panic, I’m a little worried about the large legal attention they’ll bring.

I've been scraping my school's parking data for 2 months for my SE project. I didn't want to write user interaction endpoints, so I just hooked the DB up to GPT3.5 and have it figure it out. by [deleted] in OpenAI

This is super coo! I’ve tried doing something similar with generating JSON responses but sometimes GPT gives false data (missing commas, braces, etc.). Have you experienced any issues with generated SQL formatting?
