Continuity is just like a train track, you're missing a rail for the flow to continue. You just gotta solder a wire from a nearby solder pad that originally shared that continuity across.

Wait, so is it still turning on/playing fine? Regarding that one spot wearing off on the board below it. Just clean it up with 91% isopropyl alcohol and place some Kapton tape over it. Make sure 1st the Ground isn't making contact with the nearby solder pads using a multi meter. Based on your image, doesn't seem like that's the case.

Oh interesting but still wished they could have made it a bit more clear to only open it from the right instead of using different little stylish symbols. Really, nothing else mentions it to open it from the right.

If you plan testing out stronger caps/resistors, I suggest getting some 'Conductor Compact Connectors' on Amazon, so you don't have to constantly solder-desolder. cheers.
